Occupy The Iowa Caucuses!

We are now beginning to see how rough the 2012 campaign will be. Occupy groups from all over the country are urging their memberships to go to Iowa and to disrupt the caucuses. One group will take their list of grievances to all the campaign headquarters and protest or occupy them until their demands are met. That's one plan. Other plans call for disrupting Republican Caucuses so no voting can occur. A variation on this plan would be to vote for Ron Paul. Birds of a feather .... A third plan calls for going to the Democratic caucuses and voting for an uncommitted slate instead of renominating Obama. It should noted that only native Iowans, registered in that particular precinct have any right to speak or vote or even attended. The idea that a group of anarchists would have the temerity to try to shut down free elections speaks volumes about the Occupy movement. Iowa Governor Terry Branstad says he is taking activists' threats to "occupy" the Iowa caucuses "very seriously" - and that state operatives will be working with the Homeland Security Department and law enforcement to "do all we can to protect people's right to participate in this system." I wish the governor would issue a statement to the effect that demonstrators should bring plenty of bail money because interfering with the Iowa voting process would be deemed serious and they would be facing felony charges.

The hacker group Anonymous has uploaded this computer generated audio. Of course Anonymous are the only smart people since it is their assumption that the two party system has been corrupted by corporate interests and we the voters have been indoctrinated to vote against our best interests. Only Occupy and Anonymous know what's good for the country.

Kevin Dujan over at Hillbuzz has a slightly different take on the upcoming assault on freedom. He is of the opinion that by disrupting the caucuses Occupy can secure the nomination for Romney. He views Romney as the weakest possible candidate the Republicans could run and Romney does seem to be the candidate the White House would like to face.
