The left's violent, reckless, evil speech

Will somebody please explain to me why THIS kind of thing, calling for the death of Sarah Palin, is NOT considered violent but Palin, posting an election target map that many politicians have used and have done for years, is considered to have used violent rhetoric? She's using a rhetorical political device, common to politicians of all stripes.
No wonder she's waiting it all out with little comment. Who would want to be involved with people who think like this.
Is THIS video of anti-Palin tweets why the Obama administration wants to do away with internet anonymity? Or is it because the administration wants to block only the speech of people they do not like or political views with which they disagree?
Now, as we watch the democrats walk back their party's violent rhetoric (Rendell, Beckel, even Leahy are doing so), we also realize that recent polls reveal that many democrats' violent rhetoric and  baseless accusations are not working. The public isn't buying it. So naturally we start to walk it back.
The last week has been one of the most disgusting in American history. Disgusting.
Of course, our president has been restrained in his remarks.
He has his minions to do his work for him.
UPDATE: Obama calls Dipnuk to congratulate him.
UPDATE II: Dem operative (Politico)They need to deftly pin this on the tea partiers,” said the Democrat. “Just like the Clinton White House deftly pinned the Oklahoma City bombing on the militia and anti-government people.”
  Watch if you can.
