Why does the left think it's okay to behave like this concerning Sarah Palin? This is positively one of the most disgusting things ever recorded on video, as pointed out by Gateway Pundit. What is so threatening about a politician who's conservative, a concerned mom, a good speaker (minus the shrill voice), a happy wife and draws millions of people to her because they share the same values....

An ounce of loyalty
Luis Guttierez at Newsweek:
The WSJ chooses not to publish the Wikileaks stolen documents, unlike the NY Times, which chose not to publish the Climategate stolen documents because they were stolen, but chose to publish the Wikileaks stolen documents because they were...something.
To Sharia law and its defenders....one might note that women and children, particularly female children, are always the ones to suffer first under sharia law:
Dick Morris says Hillary wanted credit card numbers and phone bills of United Nations members so she can blackmail them. Really? Seems far fetched. OTOH, why WOULD you want that secure information? Isn't that against the, um, law?
And, if you missed it, here is a must read on those airport scanners entitled:
He sees things more simply. “I have only one loyalty,” he says, “and that’s to the immigrant community.”And so, sir, we too have only one loyalty and that is to the United States of America. If that's a problem for you, DLTDHYOTWO.
Sharia law has been applied in U.S. courts. There are at least seventeen instances of Sharia law being applied in eleven states, as Daniel Pipes has noted. Most notably, a NJ court held that a man did not commit rape because according to his belief in Sharia law, a man cannot rape his wife, since the wife serves him. So Sharia law was applied to the mental state element of the crime of rape. An American court actually adopted this barbaric reasoning:Federal employees, who make twice as much as most American workers, are furious with Obama for freezing their wages for two years. Freezing their wages. No cuts. Just freezing their wages. NY Daily News:
The monster food health "safety" bill 510 is put on hold until today. Could it be because Glenn Beck held up the phone number of Congress on his program?Irate federal workers in New York had a few choice words for President Obama's decision Monday to freeze their wages for the next two years."That's why Obama's ratings are below [ex-President George W.] Bush's, and that's hard to be unless you're Osama Bin Laden," said Rosemarie Clemmens of Manhattan.
Dick Morris says Hillary wanted credit card numbers and phone bills of United Nations members so she can blackmail them. Really? Seems far fetched. OTOH, why WOULD you want that secure information? Isn't that against the, um, law?
Mexico is not only suffering from a drug war that has killed thousands of their citizens and corrupted their law enforcement and government, it is also suffering economically. And they’re bringing misery across the border to the US with the cartel violence.
Of course, that war on climate change would entail a tax on their neighbors to the north.Yet, Mexican President Felipe Calderon said today during in a two-week UN conference among climate negotiators (whatever that means) that all attention should be paid at fighting global warmingon behalf of all humanity.

How will we know if airport scanners malfunction? Safety data does NOT exist???
Eh, a scientist is raising something really awful about the scanners at the airport, those machines that will be proliferating all across the country in numerous airports. There's concern about the efficacy of the scanners, including
May I remind you of the Tuskegee experiment, in which many men went untreated for syphilis because they trusted the government? Read at Wikipedia:
This is from the scientist's blog found here, which I can't pronounce. These concerns were sent from a group of scientists to the TSA; their concerns are unresolved:
- who will check their accuracy?
- How will we know if they're malfunctioning?
- What happens if they fail and no one knows it?
- How will this radiation affect children?
- What is some folks are susceptible to cancer genetically? How will these machines react to those people?
- Our overriding concern is the extent to which the safety of this scanning device has been adequately demonstrated. This can only be determined by a meeting of an impartial panel of experts that would include medical physicists and radiation biologists at which all of the available relevant data is reviewed."
- "The X-ray dose from these devices has often been compared in the media to the cosmic ray exposure inherent to airplane travel or that of a chest X-ray. However, this comparison is very misleading: both the air travel cosmic ray exposure and chest X-rays have much higher X-ray energies and the health consequences are appropriately understood in terms of the whole body volume dose. In contrast, these new airport scanners are largely depositing their energy into the skin and immediately adjacent tissue, and since this is such a small fraction of body weight/vol, possibly by one to two orders of magnitude, the real dose to the skin is now high."
- "In addition, it appears that real independent safety data do not exist."
- "There is good reason to believe that these scanners will increase the risk of cancer to children and other vulnerable populations. We are unanimous in believing that the potential health consequences need to be rigorously studied before these scanners are adopted."
May I remind you of the Tuskegee experiment, in which many men went untreated for syphilis because they trusted the government? Read at Wikipedia:
The Public Health Service, working with the Tuskegee Institute, began the study in 1932. Investigators enrolled in the study 399 impoverished African-American sharecroppers from Macon County, Ala., infected with syphilis. For participating in the study, the men were given free medical exams, free meals and free burial insurance. They were never told they had syphilis, nor were they ever treated for it. According to the Centers for Disease Control, the men were told they were being treated for "bad blood," a local term used to describe several illnesses, including syphilis, anemia and fatigue.
An eco-hypocrite here, an eco-hypocrite there
While discussing that their real goal is to redistribute wealth by "climate policy" (as in, YOUR wealth, however little or much, to AFRICA or the MIDDLE EAST or wherever the ruling class decides), the attendees at the current United Nations conference in CANCUN, Mexico, are suffering greatly by having to stay at the Moon Palace.
How much carbon waste ensues from the UN ruling class flying in to attend the conference and lounge around the pool, lamenting how wasteful the small people are? Well, lots. You can read the words of one suffering from guilt here. You'll be glad to know the attendees are going there in the hopes of "healing wounds" from the last conference in 2009, where they flew in from all around the world, alone on their jets, jammed the airports so much they needed to fly to alternate airports and then be limoed in from those airports....you get the picture. Single attendees being driven in limo after limo after limo to a conference on climate change.
On a lighter note, in case that depresses you, you'll be glad to know that Cheryl "One Square" Crow is selling her house. From Anorak, H/T Weasel Zippers, here's a description:
6662 Cross Keys Road is 150+/- Acres, 10,264+/- Sq Ft Home; Gated Entry with Security System; Brick Construction [she’s showing off]; Five Bedrooms; Seven Full Baths; One Half Bath [bring your own toilet paper]; Six Car Attached Garage; Private In-Law or Nanny Quarters; 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath Guest House; Additional residence on farm (with Life Estate); Fourteen Stall Barn; Indoor Riding Arena with lighting and sprinkler system; Theater Room; Music Studio- Incorporating additional living space; Salt Water Pool & Spa with Pergola; and recording studio.
There was Sheryl Crow, who had called upon the public to refrain from using more than one square of toilet paper per visit (“except on those pesky occasions when two or three are required”) and who was leading a Stop Global Warming concert tour across America. It was revealed that while Crow travelled in a biodiesel tour bus, her 30-person entourage followed in a fleet of 13 gas-guzzling vehicles.More pictures at the Daily Mail. She has 2 sons. This home provides shelter for 3 people, not including servants.
What to do if a tea party family moves in next door
It LOOKS like this guy is SERIOUS. He's a coffee party guy...
First, don’t panic. This is important as these people have guns. Lots of guns.
You are probably worried about property values, neighborhood safety, and a general deterioration of area living conditions. While adjustments to your daily life are certainly important for your general state of quiet and peace, there are things that you can do to lessen the impact.H/T Alice
NYT: ok to publish govt docs, but not climategate docs? Huh.
Oakland, DC and some other cities are issuing ID cards that are doubling as cash cards for illegals, so that they won't be subjected to the inconvenience of carrying cash and using an ATM. Odd, the most liberal cities (unless they are flush with federal cash) are broke. Can't figure out why.
The Big Daddies over at Powerline are wondering why the NY Times declined to publish the Climategate emails because they were illegally obtained but are publishing the wikileaks documents. Hmm. Good point.
Again over at Powerline, there's amazement that, once again, immediately law enforcement and the nattering nabobs are clucking that we have to surround the Portland mosque to make sure there's no fear of attack from the ignorant, uninformed Christians who are so well known for beheading the infidels.
Reason: Obama is horrified at the idea of waterboarding 3 terrorists, but he's okay with touching YOUR genitals, all for the sake of.....safety????
Ooooo, OUCH...the Los Angeles Times: Obama could learn from Bush. THUD!
Wikileaks roundup here at Hot Air, concluding that Israel's the only one who looks good.
One has to wonder how a low level like Manning could have access to such highly classified material, 14 hours a day, every day for 8 months and then using a home burned CD-RW labeled "Lady Gaga" to transport the material without question back and forth. How secure is all our data? How effective are these people in doing their jobs?
Lame duck session....they're going to try to get rid of DADT, pass the DREAM amnesty act and today, the FDA is expected to gain even more control over our food source.
There's great concern about this latter bill (Senate Bill 510), as it is expected to overregulate food producers and threaten smaller industries. More job killers.
Oh, and RIP, Leslie Nielsen.

Wikileaks: where's your street cred now?
You may have heard that one of the sycophant puppies over at NPR praised Obama's 12 stitches from his violent game of basketball, saying it would give him, well, let me just reveal his own words to you, via Gateway Pundit. Scott Simon:
That's how phony and small liberals think about the big bad people in the world. Do they or don't they really exist.
While we know The One is quite capable of mafioso style intimidation in these United States, we also know that his primary goal around the world has been to bow effusively, run down our country and basically kiss everybody's butts as long as they're not Western butts.
Now the wikileaks dump is revealing some other things. Lots of smarter, savvier bloggers than I are working on this, as the web bubbles with information.
From reading those bloggers' summaries, here're a few observations:
Kinda doubt that "street cred" is gonna work for y'all now.
I wonder if having a larger scar wouldn’t actually fortify President Obama’s profile, as he contends with Kim Jong Il, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad or Vladimir Putin. Imagine a president with a gnarly, vivid scar telling the rulers of China, “Nice country ya’ got here. I’d hate to see something happen to it if you didn’t stop foolin’ around with the value of your currency. Know what I mean?”Got that? These people are so naive as to believe that a "gnarly...scar" would be enough to scare off a monster, ala mafioso style intimidation.

From reading those bloggers' summaries, here're a few observations:
- As suspected, Hillary has more cojones than the current president.
- Obama is a lot fonder of the East than the West.
- Lots of leaders of Muslim countries were hoping Obama would actually do something about the Iranian problem.
- We have a few more reinforcements in the Middle East than those countries can admit.
- Obama doesn't really respect anyone.
- He really doesn't care about the British.
- The impotent White House was only willing to slap Assange rather than go after him the way they've gone after copyright websites in this country.
- The New York Times is willing to do anything to destroy this country but will try to cover over for their own Obama, if possible.
Kinda doubt that "street cred" is gonna work for y'all now.
Obama just can't catch a break....
This is probably one of the most sickening "biographer" interviews ever known to man. Schieffer says, "Obama just can't catch a break," and when queried by Schieffer, Woodward responds that the poor guy is just so danged busy, crazy day, so many meetings.
WHAT? He's the only guy he's been president??? This is preposterous.
WHAT? He's the only guy he's been president??? This is preposterous.
Over at Newsbusters:
WOODWARD: I think he gets involved in the speeches but if you look at his day, the day is crazy. And there, there are so many meetings. There are so many outings. There are so many handshakes. There are so many trips to Ohio and here, you know. As Roosevelt you always point out would read a book or two a day, right? So many meetings, so many outings.....
Christie needs to show some class
From Cubachi:
I could care less if Christie wants Palin for president or not. My point is, show some respect for her. She never uttered a bad word about the governor. He should reciprocate the respect and not let the liberal media frame how he should characterize Palin.
One day, Christie will be rudely awaken to a liberal media that will hate his guts. Everything is peachy so far. But just remember what happened to media darling Senator John McCain. And over at Legal Insurrection Professor Jacobsen has a few ideas and maybe a change of mind. (A lot of the middle aged lawyers have been reluctant to endorse or encourage Palin.)
I've put forth the proposition that the best way to defeat Obama is to put forward a conservative but non-controversial candidate who will keep the election focused on Obama. Because the Obama record and devolving persona are the equivalent of a death panel for Obama's reelection.
And nothing matters more than defeating Obama because the damage he is doing to the country is generational.
But as I reflect back on the past two plus years since Palin's nomination, I'm wondering if an all-out, knock-down, drag-out fight with the Palin haters is just what this country needs most, not least. And whether that is just as likely to be successful in defeating Obama as the "safe" route. Her interview while the turkey farmer works in the background, stuffing the turkeys into the head chopper while he watches her (apparently spellbound) is classic Palin. Undisturbed by the grit of life and sensibly continuing the interview without missing a beat, she is upbeat and encouraging, discussing the issues. It's also classic America; we can't quite stop staring at her and it's not just because of the way she looks. She has a way of getting under people's skin, good or bad, and nonchalantly continuing on whatever path she's chosen to walk. Liberals love to mock her because she isn't ivy league, she's beautiful, she has them figured out and she breaks the paradigm of what a strong woman should be, according to liberals. Witness the hysteria over her clubbing the fish. She's unperturbed. They're freaked. Classic Palin. Hysterical liberals.

TSA pats down autistic boy, complains of lack of cooperation
You've probably seen the video of the young boy whose hoodie was pulled off during a TSA search. While it is true that the boy's father pulls the hoodie off in disgust when TSA agents decide to examine the boy, what was not known previously is the young boy is autistic. In this video, a TSO claims that the father was a "jerk" who caused his own trouble.
What Verum Serum points out is that TSO has a problem, either allowing this agent to appear disguised on camera to the media or not knowing that it was going to happen in the first place. While it must be an awful experience to have a job like the TSA "officers," their attitudes don't seem to be helping the situation, particularly coming forward like this and complaining about flyers.
The woman in the following video describes her experience with being searched without apparent provocation. Lots more at Verum Serum.
So are they really, really smart, just incompetent or deliberately sabotaging this country's economy?
Lots of theories abound about the competency of this administration. Here's a suggestion out of the mainstream which seems to have eluded much of the reportage.
It has been suggested numerous times that this is the smartest president in the universe, so smart that we couldn't possibly keep up with his intellect. We heard this while Bubba was in charge, and now we're hearing it again.
Always, we're told that Republican presidents are klutzes, not too smart, stupid, out of touch with the mainstream and generally the lamest leaders EVAH in the universe.
I'd source that, but y'all know what I'm talking about.
Here's the radical suggestion: the people in charge just now are not really, really smart: they are either incompetent or intentionally, deliberating sabotaging the economic and sociological structure of this country. (We're never allowed to see the records of the brilliant president and his brilliant wife, either school or professional.)
Look at the evidence.
There's the disaster in the Gulf, repeatedly bungled and arrogantly out of touch with the needs of the people who live there and the inheritance of this country in the way of natural resources. Even while banning offshore drilling of any kind, claiming environmental purity, this administration funded offshore drilling in other countries, viz. Brazil.
Obviously stopping offshore drilling is not an environmental concern.
We had hundreds of thousands of people marching on Washington, people who normally sit at home watching the news, particularly in protest of the health care takeover, yet they continued on arrogantly (did I use that word more than once? Huh.)
We have numerous reports of the economic devastation this will wreak on this country and its states, and yet the president goes on tv claiming it is HIS legacyto ruin health care.
The TSA debacle has grown to include both left and right wingers who are outraged at being treated as criminals, while the most suspicious among us are ignored and treated with CAIR.
Even while the country squirms over the unsanitary measures taken by the TSA, generating a giant EWWWWWWWW, the evidence that some TSA workers are criminals, the evidence that menstruating women may be singled out for examination, and the feelup of an ABC reporter inside the undies, Obama insists that there is "no alternative" to what they are doing now and that we must stay the course.
No, the evidence is growing, my friends, as to the intent of those in charge of this country, who do not seem to live in the same country we do.
It's plain to see, if we have eyes.

It's not Camelot; it's Hamelot
We know because we've been told repeatedly that Michelle O is one of the best dressed, voguest women in the world, so why wouldn't we expect her to wear couture when dishing up slop for the homeless?
You tea partiers are WAY too critical!
After all, the Queen gets what the Queen wants, and that includes your cell phone, if you're trying to take a picture of her eating hercalorie-free cheeseburger! She has decreed that YOU shall not eat your own cheeseburger and if you don't see her eating hers, then it didn't happen.
It's her show, anyway, dammit!
It hasn't been all doom and gloom for the glam couple of the White House, as parties still are taking place, and, of course, there're those fab trips around the globe to ward off the depression of losing November 2, which The One declared to be a "Yes, we DID!" moment!
Mmm-mmm-mmm.
Watch the Queen of Hamelot write the script of her own reality show; remember we're just the audience, watching The View interview after interview.

H/T Weasel Zippers
In spite of the fact that all is not well in Washington with Michelle and the IN crowd (which perhaps explains why Peggy Noonan felt the need to pen a column about The One acquiring a reality czar), still the MSM feels the need to push her as a voicebox for The One Who Will Turn Back the Waters.
Our Michelle patiently explains that she herself has had to sacrifice to live the life of sacrifice the White House requires. And The One has to finish the job he started, doncha know, because it ain't done yet, as ominous as that sounds.
As painful as it is watching her underbite struggle with answering the difficult softballs questions Barbara Walters gently tosses to her and him, we watch, mesmerized by yet another cozy, sheltered and heartwarming interview surely prewritten in 1984.
But The Queen had to sacrifice before, like when she had to fly to Europe to save the Olympics, which she did for the children.
Thus we come to the central thesis of this blog post, the gently mocking proposition that these two now reign over Hamelot, in a disappointed recognition that their administration is not the return to the hoped for Camelot of the Kennedy years, but rather a new venture, complete in its own truths and facts.
The Queen of Hamelot and her partner have created their own universe, an alternate reality than ours, partying while the people suffer, like Poe's Prince Prospero in The Masque of the Red Death.
This is why she has truly earned the title "Queen of Hamelot," as she struggles with her life, a life apart from most Americans,' even while claiming to be one of us, the small people.
This new title is not just a reference to the size of her, um, bootay, but to the farcical appearances she makes around the country pretending to be someone we aren't.
But all is not well in Hamelot.
Apparently the fabulously dressed Queen isn't making the elite, of whom Peggy Noonan used to be one, happy, as we read over at Yahoo/Politico. (What you have to do as a Republican to be part of the elite includes not being too conservative, Republican or consequential.)
“There has been no attempt to reach out to people they don’t see as their people,” said the wife of asenior administration official, who doesn’t have Chicago ties. “They don’t reach out even to people in the administration who aren’t from their inner circle.”
“It’s extremely businesslike,” she added, before invoking a comparison with the early days of theKennedy administration. “It’s not Camelot.”
The tragedy of shutting down White House Party Central is discussed over at Politico
But despair not, Queen of Hamelot followers. “We’ve gotten no love lately,” said one Democratic chief of staff in the House. “And I think we need it now more than ever with tensions rising on both sides and even within our own party. I think some quality time with members would be a good thing. I've spoken to members on both sides of the aisle who actually found them useful.”
It hasn't been all doom and gloom for the glam couple of the White House, as parties still are taking place, and, of course, there're those fab trips around the globe to ward off the depression of losing November 2, which The One declared to be a "Yes, we DID!" moment!
