Yesterday's election

Specter being booted is a real feeling of schadenfreude. Absolute beauty. What it means is that Obama's endorsement is the kiss of death. Specter switched parties and voted liberal all the way but when he needed Obama this last week, suddenly Obama, realizing that Specter was close enough to lose, deserted him. Huh. What's that tell ya.
On Critz winning the Murtha seat. This is a matter of concern since Republicans thought they had a shot in this seat since Murtha was such a crook; however the percentage of Dems to Repubs is 59 to 29% in this district, with only 10% independents. To win this seat, Critz claimed he was against Obamacare and cap and trade; iow, he had to run to the right of Tim Burns to win! It's hard to believe that even hard core Dems bought the line that there is such a thing as a conservative Democrat who will hold onto his principles in these trying times. But this seat comes up again in November, and Critz will have to prove that he is who he says he is. Burns will have a chance again at that seat. We need to support him.
Powerline has an interesting point about the percentage of turnout in the Kentucky Paul race. More Dems than Repubs turned out.
Let's see how much substance we get in the news today. If you listened to the difference between Sestak's speech (no specifics, it's all about me and, of course, YOU) and Rand Paul's speech (we're here to take back the government...to limit it).
Tea partiers did great last night. As Pat Caddell, Democrat pollster, said last night, the mood in the country has never NEVER been the way it is now. They can spin it all they want; just wait.
And take heart. We are vigilant and on the march.
