CNN airs hit piece with witness who says it was too dark to see anything

  CNN questioner on Anderson 360, who has a soft light cast on her face and is wearing square fashionable glasses, introduces the segment with the fact that we don't really know any facts yet in the Trayvon/Zimmerman case and, thus, they were going to do another story adding more non-facts to their non-story.
  We see the shadow of a "woman," (we think), voice obscured, face unseen. She has an attorney, we find out later, to represent her. Doesn't everyone?
  Her anonymous testimony is being aired for the second time today on CNN, exclusively. (These statements/questions are not in order or inclusive and not necessarily verbatim. Did the best I could.)
  During the non-story segment, the anonymous witness says, "I THINK I heard 2 people arguing."
  CNN questioner. "Could you tell if the voice you heard screaming for help was someone in his late teens or mid twenties?"
  Answer: "I don't really know. I just kinda think it was the younger man."
  CNN: "Did you hear any racial slurs?" 
  Answer: "I dunno.....I told them there was two men on the ground...... Something really horrible was going on."
  CNN: Of the two men, who would you say was on top during the fight?
  Answer: "It was very dark. I couldn't say. I would have to say it was the larger man on the top.....I think it was the larger man."
  Questioner: "The larger man....the larger man...the larger man..."
  Answer: "I did not see [enough} to be able to testify."
Questioner: "Were police interested in hearing your account?"
  Answer: "The police weren't interested in my taking them to the location where I saw the two fighting."
 CNN: "In retrospect, are you surprised police were not interested in seeing where you saw them fighting?"
  Answer: "I can't answer that...."
  CNN: "Was there a hard surface anywhere you saw the fight taking place?"
  Answer: "The fight never took place on a hard surface. Only grass. I would say they were four feet away from the sidewalk."
  Then the anonymous witness announced THERE WAS A COMMUNITY MEETING in their neighborhood where the police came to talk to everyone about the killing.
  Isn't that new information?
  Community meetings are where people talk together, form and harden opinions and agree on matters.
  Why would CNN broadcast this non-story, when even the witness admitted it was too dark, she wasn't sure and she isn't willing to go on the record?
  Once again, this is another case of the media hyping racial hatred and stacking the deck against one person and for another.
  The obvious purpose for this interview was to cast doubt on the police's research and to promote the idea that Zimmerman beat Trayvon and then shot him. 
  Does that make sense? Did Trayvon have beating bruises and cuts?
  The "witness" makes it sound like Zimmerman went after Martin, beat him on the grass (having received no blows himself) and then shot him.
  In other words, everything that Zimmerman can possibly do wrong he did, according to what the anonymous witness thinks she saw, although it was dark and she couldn't tell.

Let the boycotts begin

  Personally I think boycotts are an effective non-violent way of getting your viewpoint across when nothing seems to work, when the MSM gangs up with the Left and when Liberals try to make it seem like there are a lot more people on their side than there really are.
  So I'm personally boycotting Arbys, which does not support free speech.
  I'm boycotting HBO because they only support Left Wing "free" speech.
  I'm boycotting Walgreens because they support Left Wing "free" speech, hate Rush and really don't want conservatives' business anyway.
  I'm boycotting Pepsi until I can found out if they really use aborted fetal cells in research. 
  There are plenty of alternatives to most products nowdays.
  I'm just sick of being bullied.

  Apparently the next front on which The Prince Obama will be fighting is the DRY CLEANING FRONT.
  While some may view this as a joke made by Obama, I hardly think so, given his penchant for meddling in every business in this country in the interest of "fairness." 
  Here he lists all the free stuff he's been giving to his cronies across the country, including the highly touted free contraception that for decades women apparently haven't been able to afford.
  Then he moves on to the dry cleaning inequity; just as women have more complicated internal structures requiring more expensive treatment, Obama doesn't seem to realize that sometimes women's dry cleaning bills might differ from men's.
  We're on the same path he's put us on toward more freeDUMB.

Democrat-run Arby's doesn't want conservative business

  Well, apparently there's quite some controversy over on Twitter about Arby's commitment to free speech and their abhorrence of conservative purchasers of their fake beef.
  Conservatives got mad that Arby's was claiming to block advertising on Rush; turns out Arby's never advertised on Rush but Media Matters was claiming that they were successful in getting them to drop advertising on Rush.
  THEN when conservatives rushed to defend Rush but tweet Arby's angrily, Arby's began BLOCKING those conservatives!
  Great business model, huh?

Non functioning Willard & Kelsey rec'd loans

  Willard & Kelsey Solar Group does not appear to be long for this world. Even though they made almost no money, they were given more in state and federal loans to keep the company afloat. National Legal and Policy Center:

An Ohio-based solar company received millions of dollars in state and federal subsidies despite government officials’ knowledge that the company was in financial trouble, and now a local newspaper reports little activity at the manufacturer’s Perrysburg plant.

  NLPC also notes this:

Crony socialism may have contributed to Willard & Kelsey’s friendly reception from state officials under the previous administration. Company employees -- mostly executives that included Cicak and President James Appold -- donated $24,400 in 2010 to Strickland’s campaign to retain the governorship. The grant to Willard & Kelsey was announced January 5, 2011, five days prior to Kasich’s inauguration. 

News Flash -- Toledo Blade Actually Reports the News (At least just this once)

A seventy-eight year old man from East Toledo was beaten and robbed Saturday afternoon by six youths ranging in ages from eleven  to seventeen.

The story, uncharacteristically, was covered by the left leaning local rag, the Toledo Blade, who rarely covers anything of interest. The report stated, in part:

"Mr. Watts said one of the boys delivered a single blow to the back of his head during the incident Saturday, knocking the victim to the ground.

At one point, the victim recalled being lifted from the ground so one of the boys could "drop-kick" him in the chest.

One boy, he said, put his foot on the back of the victim's neck, with another shouting, "Kill him."

While Mr. Watts was down the boys kicked him, over and over, shouting, "[Get] that white [man]. This is for Trayvon ... Trayvon lives, white [man]. Kill that white [man]," according to a police report."

I guess old white people will have to pay for Trayvon Martin now for the next two hundred years.

The attack was apparently successful as Mr. Watts is now going to buy a gun and carry it proving that the Left and Obama, in particular, have done a yeoman's task in increasing gun sales exponentially in the US since the 2008 elections. 

 

Marion Barry: “We got to do something about these Asians coming in"

Those of you who read my Melly Christmas post should not be surprised that I think Asian in migration is one of the few bright spots in twenty-first century America. Former Washington mayor and convicted felon and now city Councilman Marion Barry tells us that we have to do something about "all these Asians coming in." We really have no cause to be surprised that he holds that opinion but his candor, or to put it more bluntly, his overt racism only confirms what we have long known about the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party has long been closed to Asians. Bobby Jindal and Nikki Haley could never be elected to anything beyond congressman from a largely Asian district in spite of the fact that they are both effective governors and frequently mentioned as vice presidential favorites in the Republican Party.

Race dominates the Democratic Party. There is a sense of political entitlement among black and Hispanic Democrats because they listen to jackasses like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and Marion Barry. Only those groups who are deemed to have "paid their dues" need apply for positions of leadership. Senator Marco Rubio could not have been elected as a Democrat because party leaders would have argued that Cuban Americans have not paid their dues. Not since Governor Doug Wilder of Virginia, if we exclude faux Hispanic Bill Richardson whose father was a Citi Bank exec, have the Democrats ran a minority candidate in a largely white electorate as have the Republicans done with with Congressmen Tim Scott or Alan West. This party is dooming itself into a party of stereotypes.

Did Bill Ayer's Parents Put Obama Through Harvard?

WND has an interesting post. Allen Hulton, a retired letter carrier has given a sworn affidavit to investigators commissioned by Maricopa County, Ariz., Sheriff Joe Arpaio. In that affidavit Hulston tell of his conversations with Mary Ayers. Mary Ayers is the late mother of "just a guy from Obama's neighborhood," Bill Ayers. He spoke to Mrs. Ayers some 18 to 20 as he delivered the mail to the Ayers home. On one occasion she stated that she and her husband were helping out a young, black, foreign student. From the conversation Hulton assumed Mrs. Ayers meant financially. "I was taken aback by how enthusiastic she was about him,” Hulston says. “And I believe she said he was from either Kenya or Indonesia, and I favor Indonesia in my recollection.”

He later met that foreign student whom he says was none other Barack Hussein Obama. “He greeted me,” Hulton says. “He was very polite, dressed nicely, but informally – slacks and a dress shirt – and he spoke with no accent. Immediately this young black man entered into conversation with me. He told me he had taken the train out from Chicago and had come to thank the Ayers family personally for having helped him with his education.”

And what was the young man going to do with his life?

“He looked right at me and told me he was going to be president of the United States. “There was a little bit of a grin on his face when he said it – he sounded sure of himself, but not arrogant. I know how people will say things because they have an ambition, but it did not come across that way,” Hulton says. “It came across as if this young black male was telling me he was going to be president, almost as if it were the statement of a scientific fact that had already been determined, as if his being president had been already pre-arranged.”

Like the Manchurian Candidate?

Hulton also reveals that Tom Ayers, in spite of being the chairman and CEO of Commonwealth Edison, was an old line lefty who once voiced to him a Marxist point of view.

Another Green Energy Investment Going South

When Barack Obama, Steven Chu, and Jennifer Granholm team up all things are possible. Imagine Michigan being the battery capital of North America! Hell it maybe the battery capital of the whole damn universe! Things have soured a bit since the heady days of 2010. The stock of A123 Systems rebounded nicely today to close at 95 cents. Yesterday it hit its all time low of 82 cents after shareholder filed a class action suit against the company.
The suit stems from A123's March 26 announcement that it must spend about $55 million to replace battery modules and packs that might be defective. The suit alleges that A123 had withheld that information and investors worry that the company can't come up with the money to fund the replacements. Five customers including Fisker Automotive, the company's biggest client, received parts that could have had defective cells. The stock is down 55 percent this year, and has lost more than 90 percent of its value since its initial public stock offering, which priced it at $13.50. Go team Obama!

  Jon Stewart, who is idolized, worshipped, overpaid, pampered and adored by the Left Wing, felt it so amusant to go on a diatribe against Sarah Palin on his Daily Show.
  Seriously.
  This tv show host makes millions of dollars making fun of other people, particularly flyover country folks and he has the audacity to MOCK those who disagree with him?
  This woman has been demonized, called terrible names, ridiculed as a bimbo and far worse, had her life torn apart by nutballs like Andrew Sullivan who think that she didn't even have her own baby. 
  Her Down Syndrome child has been ridiculed. Her female children have been denigrated and also made the butt of jokes.
  Oddly her husband and her older male child have not been ridiculed.
  Why?
  Because the Left is misogynistic, cruel and bigoted. Why target the males of normal intelligence?

  And, yes, Stewart, going on the Today show IS enemy territory. We all know this but you don't.

Detroit: microcosm of Blue dysfunction

  The ruins of Detroit aren't even close to being "beautiful" anymore, only "terrible."
  We've had the likes of Malik Shabazz parading around claiming he'll burn the city down.
  We've had activists on city council claim that the state's attempt to right the city ship of state is racist and a master/slave relationship, even though city officials have run the city into the ground not only financially but in every other way possible.
  No grocery stores will operate in Detroit due to burglaries and insecurities.
  Is Detroit loyal to the businesses that operate in the city of Detroit?
  Why, no, city council just voted to double the corporate income tax!
  Fifty high school students WALKED OUT OF SCHOOL in protest. They want AN EDUCATION. They chanted: "WE WANT EDUCATION!" Sharise Smith, an extraordinarily eloquent parent of a Frederick Douglass academy student, pleaded her case on WJR this morning. She is "afraid for her children."
  The result? They were SUSPENDED. Parents are begging for a good education for their children.
  The city council is refusing to approve an agreement for the state to send in a city manager.
  More murders have been committed in Detroit since 2004 than we've lost troops in the wars on various fronts.
  The unions are trying to put a legal hold on the state taking over Detroit, at least temporarily. What will be the result?
  Who knows or cares, considering that the city of Detroit has been acting from the seat of its pants for decades already, borrowing some $600 million since 2005 to pay its bills. AND "floated another $137 million in loans."
  Now the "Reverend" David Murray, an elected school board member who has a history, has stepped up the racism claims by saying most of the murders are committed by Whites in a city whose White population is 15%. He says: ""Stop playing kow-tow to the white man who hates your guts," Reverend David Murray said.

  In classic blue state mentality, apparently these "leaders" in blue administrations want the red taxpayers to bail them out.

  In fact, Detroit is only an extreme and advanced example of what all blue staters would do if they could: provide numerous inferior services, expand the welfare state and benefits for unions and then expect red staters to pay for their benefits.

  Try proposing a reasonable budget and expect to be demonized by the Democrat party and the President of the United States.

Winning! Solar Trust Goes Belly Up

Interior Secretary Ken Salazar and Gov. Jerry Brown, D-Calif., at the Blythe solar project groundbreaking.

Solar Trust is the latest win-win DOE investment to go from green to red. President Obama and Secretary Chu stand to lose $2.1 billion in taxpayer money on this latest fiasco. Uwe Schmidt, chairman and CEO of the company seemed to have the industry's problems diagnosed in a Huffington Post article written just last September. The problem was Solyndra, an isolated problem that had given the solar industry a bad rap.

"So what went wrong with our federal program to support renewables? Nothing, except one company's bankruptcy has cast doubt on the credibility of a government program that is otherwise being administered with incredible efficiency."

Guess incredible efficiency isn't what it used to be. Of course that efficiency was mitigated by posturing and finger pointing.

"Indeed, despite the posturing and finger pointing, the American solar energy industry is alive and well. I should know."

Yup, he should know.

" Being nimble and responsive to market realities are crucial traits for any company that is going to survive in today's renewable energy industry."

Maybe he should have cultivated those traits.

Ohio's Super Well

Our regular readers know that I have been unabashedly bullish on the Utica Shale's gas and oil potential. I view it as possibly the biggest game changer since the Erie Canal. The initial estimates of the formation's reserves have yet to be calculated but one figure that Chesapeake Energy provided to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, shows one well in Harrison County producing 1.5 billion cubic feet of natural gas, or 2 percent of the state's entire natural gas production. Put another way, that single well is producing 300 times more gas than the typical Ohio gas well, drilled vertically without hydraulic fracturing. Currently Chesapeake has nine producing wells in eastern Ohio. Five of those wells have produced 2.6 billion cubic feet of gas to date. The other four wells have produced hundreds of barrels of oil but are not yet producing gas.

Ohio has issued about 150 permits for Utica Shale wells in Ohio. By contrast, the state has about 49,000 traditional gas wells reporting production of about 73 billion cubic feet in 2011.

The figures continue to fuel Chesapeake's optimism about the formation, spokesman Keith Fuller said in a statement. "The data reported, while promising, is still very limited and only a small part of the information needed to gauge the potential of the entire formation," he added.

Media not getting away with lying anymore

  If you listen to talk radio, you're familiar with the extensive propaganda being dumped onto the air waves.
  The EPA is particularly determined to control the agenda is this country. Usually the ad starts with a tiny child coughing pathetically, gasping for air as if he/she will die because of some car you've driven today. "If just one child can be helped," the spiel goes, "then we must do (fill in the blank.)"
  This is part of the meme. If just one person can be helped, then we must (fill in the blank).

  One in 7 people is HUNGRY! The person sitting next to you is HUNGRY so go to this website and (fill in the blank), regardless of the incongruity of the "everyone is fat" meme contrasted with the "everyone is hungry" meme.
  Well, which is it?
  Common wisdom right now is that the SCOTUS will overturn Obamacare, so the meme goes out that the SCOTUS is an activist conservative court!
  Even though the liberals on the SCOTUS showed their ignorance of the law (and reality), the real activists are the conservatives~~!!!! 
  You're a racist if you don't want to jump to conclusions about the Travon Martin case. How absurd! It doesn't matter that more Black people commit crimes against Whites, or that more Black people commit crimes against Black people.
  What matters is that George Zimmerman is a WHITE HISPANIC, sorta like our POTUS is a WHITE AFRICAN AMERICAN.

  Michelle Obama appears on a kids' program dressed in a hideously tight and  unflattering biker chick clothes and the media fans itself with excitement.

  A professor (whose current faculty profile is offline) who professes to love the outdoors and spend every waking minute out there wants to "reeducate" the public because they are in denial about global warming. Her associate from Yale wants the public to be housed together in tenements. ("We certainly don't THEM (humans) strolling about the entire countryside.")
  Presumably the prevention of "strolling about" would exclude professors from having to live in such circumstances so they could appreciate the wonder of the outdoors, which needs to be preserved.
  For them, I guess.
  Meanwhile, Christian viewpoints and opinions are being tossed about as "hate crimes" as the thought police viciously pursue anyone who doesn't agree with them.
  And NBC, who used to be able to lie without anyone detecting it, has been discovered as liars rather than news reporters and now is skulking, tale tucked, into the woods to "investigate" itself because the "news" division selectively edited tape to make Zimmerman look racist, because the racist meme is where it's at these days.
  All in all, a few days to be proud of these days. Not. Because they aren't getting away with this crap anymore.
  We're onto 'em.
  The fact that numerous bloggers and eagle eyed watchers are reporting these facts is cause for encouragement, not alarm.

Occupy Toledo dies, along with other movements

  So Occupy Toledo had a formal ceremony, complete with eulogy, for the Occupy Toledo movement, as reported in the Toledo Blade.
 "Born of Hope, Died from Apathy" read the "tombstone".
  It looks like about 7 people attended the burial, as compared with the Religious Freedom rally at Lucas County Courthouse was attended by about 6-700 people.
  They're still posting on Facebook, and touting a May 1 rally.
  I'm reeling with disappointment.
  In searching for a post for the death of the Occupy Movement, I made the mistake of using search terms "occupy dies."
  Woah. Sad because all the events that came up were about the the people who've died.
  I'm not saying it's dead, though others are. It's certainly devolving.

GMA death Threats too much?SERIOUSLY?

  I was shocked to see the chyron heading on Good Morning America yesterday for an extended period of time read "Are death threats going too far?"
  Well, DUH.
  I could hardly contain myself, watching this headline in front of a group of people who weren't paying any attention to it. I wanted to jump up and yell, "Are you kidding me?"

  How can we NOT be sure death threats are NOT okay?
  I remember reading a book once where the main character, when confronted about a murder he had committed, responded with a shrug, "Murder's not that big a deal anymore anyway."
  After watching the Hunger Games, which is most frightening because I could really see our culture deteriorating into a reality show where the mission is to actually kill someone for a reward  (it's happened before ala Rome), it's almost like anything is possible.
  Without knowing all the facts of the Zimmerman/Martin shooting, people have determined that it's okay to have marches demanding his head, to tweet his address, to post $10,000 (or more) for his murder, to go on television and incite thousands of sheeple to commit acts of civil disobedience which will naturally turn violent.
  That's okay because we're looking for justice.
  Right.
  Who believes that.
  Who believes that the same people orchestrating OWS and all the protests around the country.
  And those privileged elites in Hunger Games who control the general population?
  They don't look like Wall Street, lemme tell ya.
