If we save only one life.
Yeah.
I remember when Ohio instituted the seat belt law. At first, it was voluntary. Then tickets would only be issued in addition to other offenses. Now you can be stopped for not wearing a seat belt.
And by this standard Obama's representative is claiming--saving one life--we have the rationale for adding cameras to the back ends of every car.
And black boxes to track all vehicles.
And snatch the salt shaker from our fat fingers, not to mention the soda pop.
And seize our guns, the last defense against dictators, invaders and intruders.
I think what's happening here is that Obama put the idiot boy Biden in charge to stir things up, to get people so anxious about losing their guns (because they like to cling to them bitterly) that there will be a sigh of relief when some onerous executive order eventually comes down because at least the government will let me keep my gun.
Anything, anything, including requiring broccoli for dinner can be decreed by the government as necessary to save one life.
Nothing anyone's proposing about snatching guns from law abiding citizens would have stopped recent murders.
The Newtown shooter planned his dirty deeds; he stole his guns. The Colorado shooter was determined to commit his mass murders, creating mass chaos and imitating a movie scene.
If a murderer is determined to commit chaos and mass murder, nothing can really stop him, like the worst school shooting in history in which the school board president murdered 38 children and 6 adults...using dynamite.
Will the government confiscate hammers, which have been used to kill more people than guns? And will Leftists continue to overlook the lives that have been saved by guns and the fact that Black people who live in poor neighborhoods are the ones most affected by issuing gun control for law abiding citizens?
The United States Attorney General was instrumental in arming the drug cartels that perpetrated the deaths of 300 Mexicans and at least one American border agent.
This same man sat next to Joe "Obama will never take my Baretta" Biden when "reasoning" with others about what new gun control measures to take.
None of these measures solve the problem yet Leftists and the MSM continue to ignore the obvious contradictions.
And shouldn't an award for father of the year have something to do with faithfulness and past behavior? Of all the fathers in this great country, why on earth would an organization decide that a philanderer who continues to philander is most deserving to be named father of the year.
If a man had an affair with a girl the age of his daughter whose life had been entrusted to his care as an intern can be named "father of the year," then anything's possible.
Seriously. These folks are absolutely disconnected from reality. Bill Clinton as father of the year makes about as much sense as naming a POTUS a Nobel Peace Prize winner before he's done anything and then letting him keep that prize even though it's been admitted that that same POTUS has a kill list which he alone determines.
Bill Clinton should not be named father of the year.
By Leftist logic, a far more deserving candidate in this "up is down down is up" world is rapper Carlos Walker, whose reality show about his 10 babies' mamas (11 children--apparently one woman got lucky) has drawn fire from both right and left.
The brilliant Mr. Walker says this about his new fame and reality show:

Shawty Lo's baby mama situation might be a product of his rough childhood. In remembering his youth, he says, "I came to be one of the largest drug dealers to come from Atlanta, Bankhead area and I started haven' kids. When the money came, a lot of women came," said Shawty Lo. "Once you feel like a girl was your girlfriend or whatever, the rubber probably came off." He continued, "They wouldn't have an abortion. They used to take the money and run with it, and they'd have a baby by the most popular guy in the street, and that's how I had all them kids."
He's admitted earning his fortune selling drugs and that his "rubber came off" at least 11 times because he felt this girl was his "whatever," so it makes sense he should be named Father of the Year.
Just one life, that's all the rationale we need to justify any law.
And now the White House will not renounce printing 2 trillion dollar platinum coins--TROLLARS--on the ridiculous premise to skirt the deficit and lift the amount of money America has in circulation to provide Obama with more ability to gift his cronies with direct deposits (backed by nothing) to their bank accounts.
All of this makes sense to Leftists, who vilified Mitt Romney for being successful while exalting Al Gore, who admitted that he had deceived people on ethanol, a debacle of epic proportions, because he was running for president.
For Al Gore to sell Current TV to Al Jazeera--big oil that supports terrorism--says a great deal about Gore's sympathies. He won't sell to Glenn Beck, but he is in sympathy with terrorists.
And Gore is now richer than Romney.
Oh, we're sure Mornin' Joe and Mika will be harder on Gore than Romney.
And the Left will rise up in anger, right?
And a far more logical argument that "it it'll save one life" is my argument for keeping my weapons.
If my gun saves MY life, then I should be able to keep it.
But that's logic and I'm pretty sure Leftists won't buy it because it's, well, right.
