Susan G. Komen Drops Planned Parenthood

The Susan G. Komen for the Cure has pulled out of its partnership with Planned Parenthood.
Komen had provided grants of roughly $680,000 last year and $580,000 the year before. Leslie Aun, spokeswoman for Komen said the cutoff is a result of the charity's newly adopted criteria barring grants to organizations that are under investigation by local, state or federal authorities. According to Komen, this applies to Planned Parenthood because it's the focus of an inquiry launched by Rep. Cliff Stearns, R-Fla., seeking to determine whether public money was improperly spent on abortions.

Sob sisters, Sen. Patty Murray of Washington and Rep. Michael Honda of California - issued statements denouncing Komen's action. Get over it ladies! More

  1. What took them so long to stop supporting Planned Parenthood. What a waste of money that could be spent for the cause it is intended.

  2. Something like 70% of the money that foundation receives goes to fundraising and salaries. So much for your handwringing over how they use their money.

  3. You're absolutely wrong. 80% of funds go toward the program itself. 11.8% goes for administrative expenses. 7.5% goes for fundraising.

And Planned Parenthood doesn't DO breast cancer screenings; that's a fraud. It's all about aborting babies.
