Something else to ponder

It's pretty standard thinking that once this monstrosity is offered, there will be no repealing of it, for several reasons: it would take a super majority, which is highly unlikely to attain in the near future. Once it's nestled into the budget, people accept it, status quo. HOWEVER, if it's very unpopular, the election this fall could be overwhelming.
Here's the question for the day: if Democrats use reconciliation to change 16% of the national budget and restructure such an enormous part of our culture, why can't Republicans, if they attain majorities however slight, use reconciliation to appeal it? Over at Weasel Zippers:

God willing this abortion never passes, but if it does every Republican in the midterms will be running on a 'repeal' platform, and almost all will win. Note: I've heard there's some language in the bills where it can't be repealed (and I question the legality of that), but I have no solid proof, if anyone has it please pass it along...
