Brilliant people march across California for schools

So, one may ask, who gets to take 48 days off to march across their state to protest cuts in education? And, gee, guess what their solution to the budget crisis in California and education is? Tada! Raise taxes! On people and corporations! Of course, corporations are fleeing California just BECAUSE of that reason, but no problem! Let's make the state more business and success allergic.
If you guessed that this brilliant person is a professor, you guessed right. If you guessed he received his PhD in American Culture Studies from BGSU, you'd also be right. Apparently it nver occurs to these people that the word CUT should enter their vocabularies and that California has shackled itself with a voluntary burden of providing free everything to everybody but those who work hard and succeed. Oh, btw, in-state tuition and fees amounts to all of $512.
Miller says he wants to focus on solutions, which he believes come in the form of progressive taxation, meaning as income goes up, taxes go up.
“People say the worst thing is to raise revenue. But in fact, smart people who know something about the economy, they say that’s precisely not the truth. That in fact is, it's better to raise revenue from corporations and or top brackets than to just cut, cut, cut,” Miller said.
Here's his personal testimony as to why he's marching:
