Take heart, my Tea Party friends

I promised my reader/s that I would try to stay optimistic in writing this column because it sure feels like the nation is going to hell in a hand basket these days.
Obama's riding high, back to golfing and planning long Hawaii vacations, demanding that his opposition give the petulant would-be King everything he wants.
His minions are lying around the country (literally, that is, LYING), distorting tragic circumstances like Sandy and a football player's addictions to bend law to shape the country into Chicagoland.
Never let a disaster go to waste, after all, and old Rahm is busy claiming that the rest of the nation ought to follow Chicago into 1) low school performance  2) financial ruin  3) union dominance  4) a 2 tiered society in which low wage peons pay for the salaries, benefits and pensions of government workers  5) thuggery.
We have a snotty POTUS who told a Black woman to go lie to the public and then demands they not hold her accountable. Snotty POTUS, rather than shouldering responsibility as a leader, then does the same thing with his ?Treasury secretary?, who apparently is not negotiating with the opposition.
In short, here's where we are:
Let's get real. Self-flagellation and gloating are common occurrences when one party wins an election. The other side (Dem or Repub) always claims that this is their *new beginning!* and the other side is doomed, doomed, I tell ya.
  Look:
  •   Obamacare is mired in lawsuits, numerous and broad ranging. If the states choose to not implement the exchanges, which at least 17 have said they will not, the whole thing may implode.
  •   The House of Representatives "holds the purse strings" to most of what Obama wants to accomplish. Though Obama is trying to give himself unlimited financial power by assigning to himself the power to raise the debt limit, this will not happen.
  •   The fiscal cliff is a disaster, waiting to happen. If it does, no one knows where it leads. Right now Republicans are in the crosshairs, but the fruit of Leftist economics will ripen soon.
  •   There's no doubt that Tea Partiers are tired and absolutely disgusted; this is a temporary eye of the hurricane. Good luck, Leftists, if you think we're going away. In fact, some are predicting a Tea Party "tsunami." And as the regulations tighten over the internet and guns, we may well see some Democrats looking toward the Tea Party, if not Libertarians, whose sensibilities are closer to the right than the left. It'll be a while, for sure. We can't really do anything now. But as the next election nears and as the fiscal disasters multiply, I believe you'll see grass roots organizations flourishing. The groundwork is already laid for this.
  •   If people are determined, as we have seen locally after the Lake tornado when citizens rushed to clean up and aid the afflicted, the lack of government services can be successfully overtake by citizens. Colorado Springs is a great example of this; when city services were cut, citizens stepped up to  take out their own garbage, patrol their own streets and change their own street lights.
  •   The more disparate the financial conditions between the Washington, D.C., area and the rest of the country, the more analogies like this one will be drawn: Are we living in The Hunger Games? If you're not familiar, the central government ruling authority in the HG is totally disconnected from reality and those who provide tax monies to support the extravagant lifestyle of the ruling elite.
  •   Last and most important, however, as reason to not despair is this: overconfidence.
It's not difficult to discern that narcissist Obama is so full of himself that he cannot tell the truth, realize when he's gone over the line, or even rationally discuss issues on which he has already made up his mind, which is about every issue because Obama thinks he knows everything already, being the malignant narcissist he is.
Though it's frustrating to watch because so many people are actually buying into this ridiculousness, it's not going to last forever as the economy deteriorates. People are going to get tired of the bullying, constant nagging and prudishness of this bunch. Their dominance is NOT going to last forever.
  It will not.
Paul Rahe calls November 6 Obama's "Pyrhhic Victory":
Think about it. A host of seniors are about to be thrown out of Medicare Advantage. Innumerable Americans will soon, contrary to Barack Obama’s solemn promises, lose their health insurance, and they will have to turn to the healthcare exchanges. To this we can add that another recession is on the horizon, that taxes will go up, and that the deficit will continue to balloon.
There is, of course more. Barack Obama is given to lying, and he can rely on the likes of Candy Crowley to cover for him. You can fool the American people, and Barack Obama did just that. But you cannot fool them indefinitely. Sooner or later the chickens come home to roost, and those who have been fooled get angry. Obama’s troubles may be about to begin, as Barack's Benghazi Bungle gets exposed.
Not only that, but the MSM, whose smitten flattery helped propel the narcissist to victory, may realize that a real career is to be made by exposing the fraud behind the curtain.
What have they got to lose, at this point? Obama's got his second term, the economy's about ready to go into the tank, and the MSM isn't going to want to be blamed for the mess they've helped create.
We may ask ourselves, those of us who so desperately wanted to rid the country of the stench of Chicagoland, what would we have done if Romney had won?
Would we have gone back to sleep? Or at least relaxed our grips on the politics and future of this country?
Ask yourself. Are you giving up, wounded beyond recovery?
The truth is that the backbone of the dissenters--we are, after all, the resistance--will be stiffened by our current circumstances, which will embed a force into the politics of this country that will help shape the nation for years to come.
  There will be pain.
But there's a purpose for pain. It guides, instructs and signals.
Strong hands--collectively, not just the power of the RINOs or a few corrupt elite--are emerging to help guide this country back to health.
  Make no mistake about that.
