Ineffectual Obama, just lookin' out the winda

The ego that roared and swallowed us all is back again. Floating around the web, eagerly distributed by the White House, is the photo of Howdy Doody with the Dumbo ears sitting in the Rosa Parks seat to commemorate himself, um, Rosa Parks' 57th anniversary of having taken that famous bus ride.
Note the pensive air, the pitched melancholy face staring at a world full of terrible thingies outside the bus window. Or at least out at the museum wall of the Henry Ford Museum where the bus is kept. Six months ago.
I like Andrew Malcolm's Investors' take on the whole embarrassing presidential incident, which he precedes with this little montage:
Maybe you knew Calvin Coolidge was the first presidential voice carried on radio. But did you know (or virtually care) that Obama was the first to speak at a virtual townhall?
Then there was that strange day when the former state senator talked of all "those soldiers or airmen or Marines or sailors who are out there fighting on my behalf." When so many of us had long thought of the U.S. military as fighting for all Americans.
And then the night Obama admitted to New York donors that he was the most interesting man in the world:
"It is very rare that I come to an event that I am like the fifth or sixth most interesting person. Usually the folks want to take a picture with me, sit next to me, talk with me."
The little man with the big ears has been full of important business lately, like when he got mad at the Iranian regime for their threat of using WMD and/or chemical warfare against their own people.
My favorite Words of Obama in the last few days is his OMINOUS THREAT to the Iranians not to misbehave cuz. Something. Bad. Might. Happen. WMD would be "unacceptable" and there would be "consequences."
That would not make Obama happy!
  And he let them know!
