Dem Pollster: Coakley Can Lose
By David Hogberg Fri., Jan. 08, '10 6:46 PM ET Public Policy Polling, a Democratic polling firm, says the following about the Jan. 19Massachusetts Senate race between Democratic Attorney General Martha Coakley and GOP state Sen. Scott Brown:
This has become a losable race for Democrats — but it could also be easily winnable if Coakley gets her act together for the last week of the campaign. Complacency is the Democrats’ biggest enemy at this point and something that needs to be overcome to avoid a potential disaster.
PPP notes that “a plurality of those planning to turn out oppose the health care bill” and that “Republican voters are fired up and they’re going to turn out.”
Allahpundit has a healthy dose of skepticism here.

FYI-Orszag's relationship with ABC reporter
Golodryga is sleeping with the nerdiest elephant in the circus. And she happens to be one of the lead reporters on the circus. Which makes her a clown rather than a reporter. Golodryga never should have gotten involved with Orszag. Now that she is, ABC News should move her to another division of their news bureau.

AMERICA: JUST ANOTHER COUNTRY
Advertently or not, however, Noble does tip us to President Obama’s thinking — and to why the administration clearly doesn’t want to discuss the matter any further. The issue is what Noble refers to as “international custom”; relatedly, this is about the game known as “customary international law,” so beloved by transnational progressives.
Here’s how the game works. International-law professors, jurists, and bureaucrats announce some piety that they think everyone should follow (e.g., the death penalty is an unconscionable human-rights violation). Once enough of them have followed it for long enough (in recent years, “long enough” seems to have become “ten minutes” . . . or the time it takes to announce these new international standards), the piety is deemed — at least by transnationalists — to be universally binding. In their view, it thus becomes the obligation of every nation to fall into line, changing their laws to whatever extent is necessary to do so. That is, the sensibilities of the “international community” (i.e., the elites of the global Left) void the democratic self-determinism of the American people.
They're preparing
Democrats have made a critical mistake in Massachusetts. This needs to go viral — everyone you know needs to read this. Democrats have admitted to a scheme to ram through the Healthcare Rationing vote before Scott Brown can be sworn in as Senator, should he defeat his Democrat opponent on January 19th.
Paul Kirk, currently serving as interim Senator in Massachusetts, has declared that Brown, if he should be elected, will be delayed from any voting in Washington for as long as possible. Masssachusett’s Soros-funded Secretary of State, the corrupt William Galvin, has promised to do everything he can to stall the certification of Republican Brown “so that Democrats can pass the healthcare bill”.
It's his turn
Revolution in Massachusetts
Brown, the free-enterprise tax-cutter, even cobbled a short video clip channeling a reprise of a 1962 speech of JFK promoting his own tax-cutting agenda to provoke economic growth, cleverly fading into Brown himself calling for tax cuts now. Of course, this suggestive but transparent campaign ad simply torments the Massachusetts Dems. To be reminded that their beloved Camelot was ruled by a king whose tax cuts and athletic national security attitude aligned him more with Ronald Reagan than with his own younger brother has driven the Dems mad. But the independents and hardcore Republicans, in retreat and fending off despair for the last three decades, are now coming out of their gloomy seclusion, pushing Brown's polling numbers to within single digits.

New website! Tea party voter guide
TeaPartyVoterGuide.com’s goal is simple. Let’s work together and build individual tea party voter guides for our groups. Each state and tea party group can share the best ideas and determine what is best for their group. This will allow the movement to be independent and forward the movement by providing citizens with much needed information.
Push polling in Massachusetts?
It's On - Push Polling "Hate Group" Support for Brown
I received this e-mail from a Massachusetts resident and businesswoman (and I verified her identity through publicly available sources), regarding a phone call she received last night:They identified themselves as McGrath [sic - see below] from Denver but I was unable to find anything on Google. The questions were obnoxious; for example: "would knowing that hate groups support Scott Brown change you opinion of him?".
Snow is a thing of the past!
Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past,” claimed the Independent, back in March 2000:Britain’s winter ends tomorrow with further indications of a striking environmental change: snow is starting to disappear from our lives.
Sledges, snowmen, snowballs and the excitement of waking to find that the stuff has settled outside are all a rapidly diminishing part of Britain’s culture, as warmer winters - which scientists are attributing to global climate change - produce not only fewer white Christmases, but fewer white Januaries and Februaries.
What sort of kooky climate clown would ever predict such a thing?
One last chance
With the Massachusetts Senate special election less than two weeks away, Scott Brown is framing himself as the GOP’s last hope to stop Democratic health care legislation, an approach that could provide both parties with an early glimpse at the political resonance of the issue.
From solid Democratic to LEANS Democratic
One has to remember: this is Massachusetts. A year after Obama’s election and in the race to replace Teddy Kennedy, Democrats and Republicans are in a competitive match-up. Remarkable. What’s more: Democratic candidate Martha Coakley isn’t getting a free ride with the local media, which seems put off by the sense that she is dodging the press and dragging the independent candidate to debates for protection. So if the Massachusetts senate race isn’t “solid” Democratic what does this portend for Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Nevada and other less-Blue races in 2010? You understand now why so many Democrats are hanging it up “voluntarily.”
Gadahn posts new video
It is always the same. Spread the stories in the media, release a video tape or audio tape backing up the allegations, that while targeted to western audiences, are actually for consumption by the home crowd and then wait to see which ambulance chasing lawyer will take up their case and try to prosecute some soldiers.
This tactic has worked very well for them in the past. They have managed to get a Marine Special Forces unit removed from the theater without firing a shot. It has resulted in the restriction on the use of our firepower in certain areas resulting in increased causalities on our side while giving them more latitude to operate. Don't forget the pending case of the Navy SEAL's who are accused of roughing up a most wanted terrorist in Iraq. It is almost to the point where we have more service members and civilian contractors pending charges then we have prisoners at Gitmo.

Fox News was not the dominant channel that it is now. It was a fledgling cable news channel with very little viewership. I had been there about a year after being a correspondent at ABC News. I was not an anchor there except on weekends. I'm better known now than I was then. The news of my son's death was a big story in Washington but it wasn't a big story around the country. Yet, in the weeks after his death, I began to receive expressions of sympathy from all over the country and other parts of the world. My secretary and I were sending out notes to people that said, "Thank you for expressing your sympathy."
We sent out 973 sympathy notes in a matter of weeks. I read them all. My mailbox would be stuffed with them night after night. I'd weep over some of them. Some of them were prayer cards, some of them would tell me a tree had been planted somewhere. I felt that I was seeing the face of God. I felt people's support and love. To me it was a miracle. I've been trying to face up to the implications of believing in Christ and believing in God ever since.
Chris Dodd for treasury secretary?
This isn’t some no-name nutroots blogger pushing this. It’s Roll Call, citing multiple Senate aides. Really, Democrats? Countrywide Chris guarding the federal coffers? At a moment when The One’s taking heat for being too cozy with Wall Street, he’s going to appoint a guy whose pool of Wall Street donations over the years is so deephe could do the backstroke in it?
Body scanners in Nigeria paid by US taxpayers
CNSNews.com) – The four international airports in Nigeria are equipped with full-body scanners -- the same technology that the United States and other countries are now scrambling to put into place following the attempted bombing of an American airliner on Christmas Day by a Nigerian terrorist.
The scanners were paid for by the United States and installed in 2007, according to the State Department’s 2008 Country Reports on Terrorism.

Sickening--reparations are underway
The Senate health care reform bill has been ginned up with a raft of provisions that will send money flowing to medical schools that offer preferential admissions to underrepresented minorities (read: quotas that exclude Asians) and that are geared towards sending doctors and nurses to "vulnerable populations" in "underserved areas" or "populations experiencing health disparities." Six federal agencies must create an "Office of Minority Health."(Plus there is a big dollop of dollars for community organizing groups that have "existing relationships ... with uninsured and underinsured consumers" -- can anyone spell A-C-O-R-N?)In other words, ObamaCare legislates racial discrimination to such an extent that the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights was compelled to send letters to the president and congressional leaders warning about the "racially discriminatory provisions" in the Senate's health care bill.
MUST READ-The Obamas know all about sacrifice
After attaining the White House, the Obamas have continued to sacrifice, with a notable example being their trip to Denmark in order to secure the 2016 Olympics for Chicago. Michelle explained, "As much of a sacrifice as people say this is for me or Oprah or the president to come for these few days, so many of you in this room have been working for years to bring this bid home." The Obamas appear to be bearing up, however. They are tough. As Michelle told her Zanesville audience, "So I tell people, 'Don't cry for me.'" In spite of their apparently sincere belief that they are sacrificing "for the people," Michelle's behavior occasionally seems to belie this idea. This is most obvious in her thirst for fashion.Michelle attended a luncheon for the homeless wearing a pair of $540 Lanvin sneakers. On a trip to Russia, she was seen sporting what was thought to be a $5,950 VBH alligator manila clutch. The White House protested that she was actually carrying the $875 VBH patent leather clutch. This is perhaps another example of self-sacrifice. She has ordered a pair of thigh-high leather boots from Robert Clergerie, a famous French designer. Had Governor Sarah Palin made any of these purchases, she would have been criticized on the front pages of the major newspapers. Their treatment of Michelle Obama is considerably kinder. She is seen as a fashion icon.
Universal voter registration-the next monstrosity
T he problems with universal voter registration are numerous and obvious. Many states' lists include vast numbers of illegals, including some states which allow illegals to obtain drivers licenses; because many homeowners have more than one home, there will be duplicates; because so many people are on so many separate federal and state government agency lists, there will be duplicates; and because so many lists exist with little or no cross-checking capability, all of these duplicates are likely to go uncorrected. Add to this the fact that Dems hope to extend voting rights to felons, and the whole thing begins to look like a nationwide Democrat voter registration drive facilitated by taxpayers.Universal voter registration will create massive vulnerabilities to systemic voter fraud nationwide, and if Democrats have proven anything in recent years, it is that they can win elections that way. The George-Soros-funded Secretary of State project (SOS) was designed to take advantage of such vulnerabilities and may have been developed in anticipation of the universal voter registration plan. Al Franken's stolen election in Minnesota was a trial run for the SOS project. Longtime ACORN friend Mark Ritchie was elected Minnesota Secretary of State in 2006 with Soros's SOS and ACORN money, and what followed in Norm Coleman's Senaterunoffelection was a frightening demonstration of just how far Democrats will go to win. Franken won the runoff, and the Democrats got their filibuster-proof sixty-vote Senate majority.=
Interesting
There’s call to “let the cameras in” and allow CSPAN to cover the death of the Republic, for historical purposes, as Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid try to ram the unconstitutional Healthcare Rationing bill through Congress in complete secret. They want to do this behind closed doors, no doubt so voters can’t see how truly stupid Reid is, or how bad Pelosi’s Parkinson’s has gotten. She’s truly frazzled by the demands of CSPAN to televise what she’s up to: in her insane justification for keeping everything shrouded in darkness and secrecy, Pelosi’s been blinking and twitching, her hands shaking, much more than usual.
