legislative power in the Congress. Since the New Deal the Congress has willingly given more power to the executive branch and so called independent agencies to make law. At long last there has been some push back on this mindless progression into government by fiat in the form of the REINS Act.
The REINS Act would require Congress to take an up-or-down, stand-alone vote, and for the President to sign-off on all new major rules before they can be enforced on the American people, job-creating small businesses, or State and local governments.
