OWS Promises Massive Shutdowns Thursday
It looks as if the Occupy Wall Street leadership wants to up the ante. Maybe it's because Oakland, Portland, and Denver have grabbed all the headlines. It really isn't fair. Especially Oakland and Portland where it never snows and one can demonstrate in shirt sleeves year round. To combat the lack of attention, OWS just as petulant children do, is going to throw a fit. We will have to wait until Thursday to see if the old OWS still has what it takes to fight the big fights. The movement, admired by Nancy Pelosi for its spontaneity is planning a not so spontaneous riot. It promises to shut down Wall Street, Occupy the subways in all five boroughs, and Occupy Foley Square. Their aim; “resist austerity, reclaim the economy and recreate our democracy.” Resist we much!
