From the Last Tradition Blog;
Although recent polls have Minnesota congressman Michele Bachmann back in the second tier of candidates, I think she may end up getting a real second look by the voters. The media was quick to dismiss her after she one the Iowa Straw Poll. But, I tend to ignore state run media anyway.
Following the last Republican debate Joe Scarbourgh raved about Bachmann's debate performance. He noted that her position on Pakistan as "too nuclear to fail" was well reasoned and she delivered her responses without appealing for an applause line. Politico noted; "The Minnesota congresswoman used her spot on the House Intelligence Committee to good effect, getting the better of Perry in a back-and-forth about Pakistan and foreign aid. She made her points clearly and succinctly and seemed like she belonged on the stage." That afternoon Rush Limbaugh rated her performance as "outstanding".
I have long admired Michele Bachmann and I hope that The Last Tradition has it right.
