It began with the usual "I, I, I" and "somebody else started the conflict," and the magical thinking that something has changed in the universe since he took office.
I took office at a time of two wars for the United States. Moreover, the violent extremists who drew us into war in the first place – Osama bin Laden, and his al Qaeda organization – remained at large. Today, we have set a new direction.Apparently we're disregarding the increase in insurgent activity because:
So let there be no doubt: the tide of war is receding. When I took office, roughly 180,000 Americans were serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. By the end of this year, that number will be cut in half, and it will continue to decline. This is critical to the sovereignty of Iraq and Afghanistan, and to the strength of the United States as we build our nation at home.Mr. Obama seems to be laboring under the impression that the "Arab Spring" is a fight for democracy rather than the disturbing emergence of Islamic radicalists.
The lofty appeals to the "better" nature of mankind, as determined by Barack Hussein Obama, can be simplified to the repeated use of a single phrase, not unlike his "Pass this bill" meme.
Peace is hard. Peace is hard. Peace is hard.
POTUS went on to say nice things about Israel, which is no surprise considering the Jewish community is in an uprising over his treatment of Israel.
Barack Hussein Obama went on to announce that "nearly 50 nations have taken steps to secure nuclear materials from terrorists and smugglers."
A scary thought.
What was scarier is that Barack Hussein Obama followed this comment by noting extensively that the United States was getting rid of many/most of its own nuclear weapons.
Is this logical?
Does he not know that the crazies are trying to take over the planet?
More whackos are getting nukes so we're going to prostrate ourselves by making ourselves POWERLESS?
Another startling statement made by Barack Hussein Obama is this: "we must act on the belief that freedom from want is a basic human right."
Huh?
Freedom from WANT?
Where does NEED end and WANT begin?
I WANT a new car and I'd also like it to be an expensive one.
Is the government going to help me out with that?
POTUS also began a push for what he calls "Open Government" and "Open Societies," which sure sounds like one world government to me.
The speech was full of high minded, completely COMPLETELY unattainable docket of
academic lounge resolutions.
Is it just me or does this man seem more and more detached from reality?
Is it just me or does this man seem like he is relying more and more on magical realism rather than living in the world of what really happens?
Is it just me or is this behavior disturbing?
