Hey, BO, the optics stink!

  I'd take this piece at the WaPo apart myself, but someone over at the American Thinker has already done it better than I. 
  AT is enjoying watching progressives lose it over Obama's rudderlessness; apparently none of them saw that coming. AT quotes King at the WaPO:

Without leaving the White House grounds, they have access to five full-timechefs, a tennis court, a bowling alley, a swimming pool, a jogging trail, a putting green and a movie theater that shows first-run films on demand. That's hardly roughing it.

  And AT goes on to say this: 

King goes on to list many other facilities and luxuries available to the president and his family. What's fascinating here is the allusive reference to the parties, the hobnobbing with stars and athletes, the exuberant exploitation of their supreme position in the American status hierarchy. The Obamas take such pleasure in using to the utmost, all of the privileges and facilities made available to live large. The sheer number of parties they throw is astounding, though almost unmentioned in the liberal media, so far.

  It's nice that somebody's finally calling out the Obamas. No one begrudges down time for the POTUS, but 42 vacation days at taxpayer expense for the FLOTUS is excessive, according to some wags.
  Never tiring of browbeating his rich friends, blaming others for the country's problems, and comparing himself to such luminaries as Martin Luther King, *The Prince* never tires of numerous golf outings, even in the darkest of times, travels around the world, and parties, parties and more parties...
 The optics.....
