It looks like General Motors is determined to show the whole world the thinking that put it into bankruptcy. Never mind having a pair of junior partners in the UAW and Barack Obama doesn't help. Last month they managed to sell only 125 Chevy Volts. There was an Arab spring and an earthquake in Japan and according to Obama these two events created "head winds". Yes headwinds. There's a lot of that going around. But getting back to the Volt, no one, well practically no one wants to buy one. Consumers complain that at $41,000 it cost as much as a Cadillac. So how does GM get around this sticky issue? GM has decided to retool it a little bit and call it a Cadillac. The Cadillac ELR just might make forget all about the Edsel!
