It's amusing the way the news media is clucking in astonishment that Newt has taken the lead among Republican candidates, who all face claims that they're inferior and unworthy of the office of the presidency.
Few seem able to understand why Newt is running ahead; fingers are pointed at the very flawed life of the man, just as those fingers were pointed at the ridiculous prospect of Donald Trump being elected president.
These media types just don't get it; they make their proclamations from lofty perches, apparently unable to see what is so appealing to the voters about these two guys.
(Herman Cain was equally popular for a time for the same reason but now has to spend all his time warding off accusations of infidelity and lechery.)
So for y'all who don't get it, in both parties and the media, get a clue.
Those candidates who are willing to take the risk of talkin' back to the pompous popinjay Narcissus we have in office now are rising because we're sick and tired of hope and change platitudes.
We're sick and tired of being lied to.
We're sick and tired of the hypocrisy of pandering to the Hollywood rich, all while claiming the "millionaires and billionaires" are the root of all evil.
We're sick and tired of being called names.
We're sick and tired of excuses and blaming everyone but himself.
We're sick and tired of repeated insults to this great country.
We're sick and tired of policies that directly and negatively affect employment in this country.
We're sick and tired of golf, parties and fiddlin' being priorities.
We're sick and tired of a Republican party that values seniority, watercress sandwiches and milquetoast uncertainty.
We're sick and tired of a Democrat party whose foundations are built on sand, greed and dollar bills.
Then again, we're just plain sick and tired of politics.
Donald Trump, Newt and Chris Christie get in the popinjay's face, telling the truth and stirring things up, unlike so many politicians who seem to be just recycling the same old lines.
Speak the truth.
Go after him and his ilk like you care about this country with the same urgency many of us feel.
You forgot to mention that we are sick of the way he looks down his nose at us when reads off his precious teleprompter.
