Bachmann's State Chair Defects to Paul

Michele Bachmann's state chairman Kent Sorenson has endorsed Ron Paul just hours after appearing at a Bachmann event. Sorenson described Paul as the most conservative surviving top-tier candidate, praised his opposition to military adventurism, and urged an enthusiastic rally in Des Moines to help put Paul in the White House in 2012. Poor Michele Bachmann. One would think Sorenson could have stayed out of sight until after the caucuses. The Bachmann camp is claiming that Sorenson was bought off. If that charge is credible this betrayal could backfire on Ron Paul. Voters have a sense of fair play and buying allegiance crosses that line. Anger at Paul may not help Bachmann but it would definitely hurt Paul. More.
