It's seldom that I find myself agreeing with Washington Post columnist Dan Balz but I will concede he has a point when he writes "
The ‘Sheldon Primary’ is one reason Americans distrust the political system". It may well be that an Adelson endorsement is the kiss of death in the upcoming Republican primary. Balz goes on to write about his ideas on electoral reform that would take the role of king maker from Adelson and invest in a reliable bureaucrat such as Lois Lerner who has to date compiled an enviable record of keeping of keeping grass roots activists in check.
Up until this last weekend I could endorsed Scott Walker but his appearance in Vegas makes me wish he would stay in Vegas. So Shelly summoned his list of acceptable candidates for us to chose from and we are now supposed to dutifully pick a winner from a deck of losers? No thank you. We don't need Jeb Bush's amnesty and Common Core. We don't the New Jersey Pachyderm and his cast of clowns smoozing Obama and blocking traffic. I would vote for Bridget Ann Kelly first. John Kasich? Wow! Pass the Medicaid approved Pepto Bismol. Given the freedom to do so he would tax the Utica boom into bankruptcy. John Bolton? He couldn't even get confirmed to an ambassador's post.
Where were Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, and Rick Perry? Why didn't they make the cut? All three brought the house down a CPAC. If Adelson must pick our president we would prefer that he didn't start at the bottom of the heap.
