Lean forward or bend over? Obamabots attack Romney for doing good

When natural disasters hit, you almost feel like a pervert snooping in someone's windows curious about what's happening and the individuals' reactions to catastrophic events in their lives.
It's sort of like the show "Hoarders," I feel really sorry for the people whose lives are so out of control but I feel guilty as the cameras pick up every stinking detail of ten year old pizza and whole communities of spiders who've taken up residence in the rotting carcass of what used to be called a home. (At the same time, I want to yell obscenities at the TV.)
Now we have this terrible storm and we watch Americans rush in to help one another. At the same time, the media and Obama campaign are rushing in to take political advantage of the tragedy.
Newsbusters has the profound words of the dodo-brained Joe Scarborough, who sees this as absolutely a marvelous opportunity for Obama to finally, finally show his presidential-ness for 7 days before the election:
Appearing on Monday's NBC Today, MSNBC Morning Joe co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski asserted that impending Hurricane Sandy would help Barack Obama in the election, with Scarborough proclaiming: "Mitt Romney had momentum….This was Mitt Romney's best weekend, and it stops. The momentum stops."
Brzezinski eagerly predicted how the President would be perceived during the storm: "…expect command centers up and down the east coast and the President to be very visible at all of them, telling people about the federal dollars that are on the way, and that will be advantage Obama."
Meanwhile, she claimed Romney would be “in an awkward situation," and that "anything he does might look so blatantly political and almost needy, because he’s just not in the equation when the country’s under siege from a massive storm."
Obama promptly appeared on camera, having had to leave Florida without appearing in a campaign stop because his aides were embarrassed that he'd look bad again, kinda like when he went to sleep as Ambassador Stevens was being tortured and kinda like when he flew out to the forbidden Vegas to casually make a campaign appearance a few hours after the worst State disaster in 50 years.
Putting the past 4 years aside, Obama now rushed to make up for lost time.
  And so he did.
Appearing before the cameras looking wise before his time, he admonished his regulators to ignore the rules he and his ilk have set into place and speed the money to the devastated states, which happen to be blue. Why it is logical to keep all those regulations in place for everybody else is unknown, particularly considering that the states are where the Feds get their money anyway. Nice of the Feds to consider giving some of it back.
If you'll recall, we had a disaster up here in Northwest Ohio not too long ago. A tornado tore apart a local village and school system but amazingly, we locals cleaned it up before the Feds could even get in here, whereupon the Feds declined to send any of our money back to us because we had tada! cleaned it up already.
Not only that, but the doofus amateurs over at the Obama campaign encouraged Obama to take advantage of the opportunity to be non-partisan by declaring that everyone needs to "lean forward," to get the area cleaned up and that he The One wasn't going to "leave anyone behind," a direct snipe at those who are angry that Obama left 4 Americans to die in Libya, unlike our motto which used to be "Leave no man behind."
  And Lean Forward?
  I'm sorry?
What the heck does that mean, lean forward?
Oh, sure, I know it's his campaign motto and the MSNBC campaign motto but don't we all think Obama's motto is more like BEND OVER?
  LEAN FORWARD?
The piece de resistance has to be the MSM's pounding on Romney, however, for collecting supplies for the disaster victims.
Andrew Mitchell complains that the government and the Red Cross are going to leap in to help and the victims don't need any local help and how dare Romney collect goods even though he's done it for years as part of his philosophy of life.
I might remind y'all that locally we did the same thing. Didn't wait for the government but WE became the government.
Here's the barf worthy video, featuring the "commander in chief" focused on the "needs of everyday Americans" and ripping on Romney.

Obama Runs Ads in Detroit, Clinton Campaigns in Minnesota

How bad are things going for Obama? They are so bad that his campaign is buying air time in Detroit. Imagine if Mitt Romney needed to buy air time in Salt Lake City to shore up defections. After Romney super PAC Restore Our Future made a $2 million ad buy in Michigan the Obama campaign followed suit. With Obama confined to the White House mouthing his concern for the victims of hurricane Sandy the Democrat's lone heavy hitter, Bill Clinton made two speeches not in Ohio or Virginia but in true blue Minnesota.

General Carter Ham Retires

General Carter F. Ham, the Combatant Commander of Africa Command (AFRICOM) and a key figure in the Benghazi-gate controversy, is leaving the Army. The exact date of his retirement has not been announced.

The mystery surrounding General Ham's removal as Africom Commander if anything deepened with the announcement of his retirement. His removal  caused enough controversy that Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey felt compelled to offer the explanation which really says nothing, "General Ham's departure is part of a routine succession planning that has been going on since July. He continues to serve in AFRICOM with my complete confidence."

Routine succession? Ham assumed command in March of 2011 and his departure is announced on October 18 of 2012 and that is routine? Is the army that long on talent that it can burn through Combatant Commanders every 18 months or so? His predecessor, General William Ward held the command for 4 years. Ham is still a few years short of mandatory age so are we to believe that he just suddenly lost interest in his career? Ham was never a spit and polish West Pointer. He began his career as an enlisted man in the 82nd Airborne, an outfit that does not produce sissies. The army has too few men like him.

Coupled with the removal from command Rear Adm. Charles M. Gaouette Hams departure invites suspicion. Let's try the corporate analogy. A firm has a monumental production problem and sustains huge losses. The CEO refuses to answer questions about his own role in the debacle but within a month two senior vice presidents with impeccable records and reputations have been demoted and one announces his retirement. You would buy stock in this company?

More foul Obama promotional videos

Another day, another disgusting utterance from Leftists.
We've had some pretty bad videos, cursings and vile imprecations cast against anyone who disagrees with Leftists.
The idea of engaged in civil discourse is pretty much non-existent.
It gets tiresome recording this junk but I suppose a public record of how low Leftists can go is necessary so we can get rid of these disreputable individuals.
To say that it's an embarrassment and a shame that someone got these elderly folks --and that they were willing-- to participate in such a vulgar exercise is unbelievably disappointing and disillusioning.
Undoubtedly Moveon.org thinks this is a really funny ad because the old people are so unexpectedly foul, sort of like the Maxine card character or the conniving bunheaded Far Side cartoon character but not so.
But that the video accuses Republicans of "stealing" the election is a real gagger, when in 97% of the voter fraud cases it's the Leftist types who justify that kind of behavior. And that foul-mouthed bag who claims voter ID laws are "voter suppression" needs to remember what it was like to drive. You know, with a driver's license in your handbag.
This is just awful; I can imagine that the only people to whom this kind of commercial would appeal would be the farthest left and teenage boys, some of whom are already voting for Obama or ineligible because of age.
Obviously this ad does not appeal to the average family and certainly not to women.
  NSFW:

Promoted by Michael Moore (not surprisingly), meanwhile we watch Romney help in storm relief while reporters wager, waiting "for him to say something stupid."
And our president, who is working so hard to appear presidential having flown back from Florida without making the scheduled campaign appearance, is enthusiastically discussing the contents of his iPod while the press claims cover for him by lamenting the "perils of pre-taped" interviews.
Slip into "Being There" mode, Mr. President, so we can pretend we have a real president.

My experience of early voting in Ohio

Perrysburg is in Wood County, Ohio, where early voting is taking place. I went to the Wood County Board of Elections this morning to vote.
We had ice on our windshield, driving sleet and high winds, the result of catching the edge of the hurricane Sandy.
And it's cold. Having a 78 degree last week and a pleasantly comfortable fall, this is the first nippy air of Autumn.
We went down to Bowling Green to vote in this weather; the Board of Elections is open 11 hours a day this week to allow voting. During the course of the 30 minutes we were waiting to turn in our ballots due to a ballot issue of our choice, from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. in this inclement weather, there was always someone else in the office voting. It's probably an exaggeration to say a "steady stream" of people, but it's true that there were at least 2 other people in the office at the same time we were there.
This was surprising to me, considering that the weather was so bad and it was so early in the morning. A number of elderly folks were in there, but also middle aged folks.
I asked how many people had voted early in our county along. It turns out that of the 108,014 voters, 15, 332 had already voted by Tuesday, October 30 at 9:00 a.m.
  That's 14% of voters.
Ohio's registered voters are split, with 37%R and 36%D. We have a Republican governor but the state went for Obama in 2008. There have been questions about voters in Ohio, and even in Wood County.
I actually thought the whole experience was interesting; the people in the office seemed to be reliable hard working people in whom we can have confidence.
Now about other parts of the state, it's hard to tell.
It's also absolutely ridiculous that American ballots be printed in Spanish, in addition to English.
I received 14, that's fourteen, mailers yesterday alone concerning politics.
Every commercial on tv except for the Chantix chubby Hispanic lady and the fat lady who has an acid reflux elephant following her around has been about politics and most of them are from the Romney campaign. I've also been called.
So when Dems claim that Obama has a better ground game in Ohio, eh, no. Not in Wood County.
In an article entitled "These 8 Counties will decide the election," Business Insider says this about Wood County:

Wood County voters don't pick parties, they pick winners. Residents of this suburban Toledo County have voted for the eventual winner in every presidential election since at least 1980. In 2004, Bush won the county over John Kerry, 53 percent to 47 percent; in 2008, Obama beat John McCain 52 percent to 46 percent, mirroring the national margin.

In a county where independents outnumber registered party voters 2-to-1, the race will go to the candidate with the most convincing argument.
Admittedly I was discouraged earlier on, particularly after Harrison Rally Day, when the Romney campaign had no signs to distribute. Dems had the early game on that, as Biden signs were plentiful in yards around town.
But now that signs are available from Romney, we have seen numerous Romney signs everywhere, along with Religious Freedom signs and a few Nobama signs.
Interest is high in this county.
I recently related a story of several young people who were engaged in dialogue in parking lots about their Obama bumper stickers by people whom they did not know.
I always thought the purpose of a bumper sticker was to tell people how you feel about some particular issue and thus perhaps open dialogue over the subject. Apparently that isn't true because it seems Obama people get mad if you question their judgment, no matter how respectfully.
But what is most encouraging is that conservatives have emerged from their hibernation.
In fact, the Northwest Ohio Conservative Coalition has organized numerous events and fundraising, which is also a reflection of the highly organized Tea Parties around the state. Indeed, the networks are impressive and comprise numerous highly engaged voters who are not willing to roll over to the Obama machine anymore.
So Bob Beckel and Juan Williams can believe whatever they want about the Obama ground game in Ohio surpassing Romney's.
All I can say is, from my perspective, did you fellas figure in the Tea Parties?
  Cuz we're organized.
  And we vote.
  Broken glass voters, I'd say.

Was Iran Involved in the Benghazi Assault?

Although it does not bear directly on Obama's failure to act during the Benghazi massacre there is an aspect of the entire episode that has not been explored in the media. Appearing on the Mike Huckabee show, Katherine Herridge poses the question, "Was there an effort, number one, to downplay the exposure of the size and the breadth of the CIA presence in eastern Libya? That, I think, is one of the great untold stories here."

Huckabee obviously had questions he wanted to ask and didn't follow Herridge's lead. Herridge again steered the conversation back to the CIA and weapons. "I believe that much of this will come back to weapons and the movement of weapons out of Libya to Turkey and then into Syria and what the United States knew about the movement of those weapons and whether or not the United States did anything to stop the movement of those weapons.

Herridge goes on to say she thinks Ambassador Steven's meeting with the Turkish ambassador was to stop the transfer of weapons. Here I part company with Herridge. First, the CIA did have a large presence in Libya. Readers will remember that what is now referred to as the CIA annex was called a safe house in early reports following the assault. Herridge points out that a ship loaded with arms arrived in Turkey. Unexpectedly? Is it not more likely that the United States, vis-a-vis Turkey was smuggling arms to Syrian rebels? Turkey is threatened by the civil war in Syria and Turkey is a NATO ally. Why would not Turkey, with the aid of the United States, seek to undermine the Assad regime? If one sees recent footage of the fighting in Syria one cannot help but notice that the rebels are using truck mounted 50 caliber machine guns very similar to those used by the Lybian rebels against Gaddafi. The Syrian rebels built them from scrap metal?

Syria would of course like to put and end to the gun running. Two facts are known. One, if Assad is to prevail it will be because of his air power and two, Gaddafi had thousands of manpads or shoulder fired surface to air missiles. Supposedly the CIA was hunting down Gaddafi's manpads to destroy them but is it unreasonable to think that some of them were shipped to Syria through Turkey? Suppose further that the killing of Ambassador Stevens and the attack on the CIA annex was for the purpose of ending the arms shipments to Syria.

Syria could never carry out such an attack but its ally Iran is capable of putting together such an operation. The Obama administration would have plenty of reasons to keep its involvement in gun running secret. If as a report coming from Israel, that Obama wanted to reestablish diplomatic relations with Iran is true he certainly wouldn't want to implicate Iran in the death of 4 Americans. Like Herridge, I too think weapons transfers where the cause of the attack but I'll have to wait to see whose theory is correct.

Prayers are like weapons of mass destruction

I know someone who was present at this event. It really happened in Elyria, Ohio. I have no explanation for it. About 3:20 it really gets interesting.
Hearts transformed into holy love...watch and wonder.

Is Obama losing Chicago Black Community members?

This is pretty incredible video from Rebel Pundit at Breitbart. You won't believe our eyes and ears.
I put a link in to this video over to Breitbart since it plays automatically.
  Here's a smidgen of context:
In the course of an ongoing investigation into the root causes of the rising tide of violence and horrifying murder rate this year in Chicago’s most destitute neighborhoods, several video interviews I conducted with black American voters from the community-organized south and west side, reveal a community that is fed up with the status quo--the status quo that keeps these communities ridden with poverty, homelessness, unemployment, dismantled families, and, of course, skyrocketing murder rates. And residents say, “it is the black Democratic leadership implementing a liberal agenda” that is to blame for the ongoing plight in their community.

We Nominate Lorenzo Langford for the Ray Nagin Award

We here at TP@P are pleased to nominate Atlantic City Mayor Lorenzo Langford for the Ray Nagin Excellence in Hurricane Management Award. Contravening Governor Chris Christie's order to evacuate the mayor counseled Atlantic City residence to remain in town to better watch and protect their property. Lacking a Superdome, the mayor made available public schools as shelters. One of the schools has since flooded. An angry Governor Christie said rescue was no longer possible in the dark. Hunker down and help will arrive in the morning.

The careful planning of Obama's apology tour

It appears we have someone not only clueless but ill motivated in the White House.
We learn through PJ Media/The Times of Israel that the reason Obama wasn't too crazy about supporting those Iranian democracy advocates was that he was busy reaching out a hand to those violent mullahs in Iran who shot down all those young people; Obama was trying to establish diplomatic relations,  etc., but alas!
The violent mullahs who are eager to take over the world turned him down, if you can believe it!
Soon after he took office, President Barack Obama began a process ultimately designed to reestablish full US diplomatic relations with Iran, including a reopening of embassies, an Israeli daily reported Sunday. The initiative, part of a wider shift in America’s diplomatic orientation, aimed at reaching understandings with Tehran over suspending its nuclear program, Maariv claimed, citing “two Western diplomats very close to the administration.”
The initiative led to at least two US-Iran meetings, the report said. Israel was made aware of the contacts, and opposed them.
But Iran rebuffed the “diplomatic hand” offered by the White House, Maariv reported.
This revelation brings up other sore topics, like that whole apology tour thing that The Prince denied he ever did.
We know that Obama has welcomed commies like Van Jones into his administration possibly due to a mentor who was unabashedly a self-acclaimed Communist and "hard core pornographer."
Though Obama himself thinks he did no such apologetic business, we learn that mais non!
The whole bowing thingie was actually planned behavior on the part of The One, not simply a splendorous reaction to being in the company of someone greater than himself because ah! There is no one greater than himself!
Anyway Samantha Powers was the architect of that plan to bow to other world leaders, thereby showing his ass to the world. IBD gives us the scoop:
Power has suggested the president literally bow to foreign leaders, as atonement for Americans' "sins" — and that's exactly what he's done.
A former New Republic journalist, Power is also a 9/11 apologist who thinks Islamic fanatics hate America because it backs governments that repress them — such as the Mubarak regime in Cairo.
Another advisor encouraged apology on the part of the Obama/the US, saying, ""The president must ask Americans to acknowledge to ourselves and to the world that we have made serious, even tragic, mistakes in the aftermath of Sept. 11..."
Another said Obama must appear "remorseful," and literally apologize for the war on terror which, of course, was initiated because Islamists want to kill us and bombed us on September 11; that advisor is a big Muslim Brotherhood fan. You know, those silly Islamic terrorists who've taken over Egypt, are killing Christians and are trying to institute Shariah law.
The last person who helped The Prince construct his apology tour, the one he denies going on, feels it's only appropriate that the US dumps all--all-- our nukes, leaving Russia and China with the massive buildup that would enable them to threaten our sovereignty and security. But at least we'd be knocked down to size.
  According to IBD, she:
argues the U.S. must show humility by signing nuclear disarmament treaties and become strategically equal with Russia and China.
Gottemoeller, a longtime Democrat activist, justifies the radical goal of slashing America's nuclear weapons arsenal to "zero" — unilaterally, if necessary — on a Biblical passage: "They shall beat their swords into plowshares."
So you see, there really was an apology tour, regardless what The Prince claims but then, saying and doing contradictory things seems to be the order of the day for Mr. Obama.
Gee, why would anyone be nervous and eager to get rid of this guy, I wonder?

Madonna Booed After Obama Endorsement

The times they are a changing. Never, never, but never did I think that even the numbskulls who spend good money to see Madonna would get upset with the immaterial girl's endorsement of Obama.
Madonna insulted and booed by fans at her New Orleans concert which is part of her MDNA Tour.
Madonna has gone great length to support Barack Obama but she was not met with favorable response on Saturday, October 27. The singer slipped in some advice for her audience at her New Orleans concert which is part of her MDNA Tour.
"Who's registered to vote?" she asked the crowd. "I don't care who you vote for as long as you vote for Obama." Some of the audience booed at her and reportedly walked out of her concert. Madonna then added, "Seriously, I don't care who you vote for ...do not take this privilege for granted. Go vote."
My partner hit the nail on the head with the "Something Strange Happening Here" post and this incident underscores that opinion. New Orleans is still a Democratic oasis in Republican Louisiana. These are not just a few boos or cat calls; the outpouring of disgust goes on for four minutes.

Release the Benghazi video, Mr. President

Mr. President, if there's nothing to fear, if all you say is true, then release the video of the attack on Benghazi, the video you watched of the battle in Benghazi. Release the audio recordings, the documents.
To not do so is an abdication of your responsibilities as president and your commitment to transparency.
Griffin at FNC has sources who were there who are talking in detail. The video shows much of the attack. Sources are frustrated because Woods and Dougherty had "laser capability on the roof and they had coordinates from where the mortars were being fired from" but "no air support ever came."
Woods and Dougherty saved over 30 lives but all could have been saved if help had been allowed to come.
What was the base captain waiting for?
  Support from the Libyans!
Imagine, in a war torn country with no real leadership, surrounded by Libyan terrorists, depending on support from the Libyans.
  An abomination, this.

Something strange happening here

We've discussed Glenn Reynolds theory of the preference cascade recently and its impact on the general public: emotions and public opinion inexplicably shift without any particular direction or leader.
I might suggest something unusual and huge is happening in our country. Let me put it in perspective.
Several liberal newspapers have endorsed Romney.
Huge crowds have turned out for Romney.
An affection is developing for the "robot" Romney who in the past has been tattooed for not being emotional enough or relatable to the average taxpayer. Indeed, Romney's demeanor has changed, growing more confident and emotional as the crowds swell. Romney himself seems overwhelmed by what is happening not only by public response but by the direction his life is taking.
A Christian female friend said recently, "I'm just falling in love with that guy!" She was speaking politically, I might add.
And there we come to another point at which my atheist friends may scoff.
Several conservatives participating in the 40 days of prayer before the election have noted that there is a sense that God has His hand on events, a peace over the turmoil surrounding this administration.
There have been several personal incidents which I will not relate that have confirmed the belief that the prayers of Christians concerned about the direction of the country will be answered. That is not to say we know or can etermine what will happen but it is to say that He has not abandoned this country to forces who wish to exert power over it through onerous regulations, laws and the culture of death that surrounds the abortion purveyors.
  I've also observed something else.
It seems so often that the Leftist response to conservative ideals is profanity, violence and/or vandalism. We read all around the country about molotov cocktails in yards, signs being defaced or stolen, property damaged if you have a Romney sign in your yard.
Conservatives by nature are conservative in their approach to politics and confrontation, yet I've recently read two Facebook stories of young people who were questioned--not really confronted--about their Obama bumper stickers, to which the young people responded with profanity and the like. The incidents took place in public parking areas.
Now you could get depressed over the fact that someone who's projecting his or her political views on the world with their bumper stickers is so nasty when a stranger responds to their projections but I would suggest this isn't really the way to look at these two incidents.
What's truly remarkable is that on two different occasions conservatives chose to engage in dialog, questioning the judgment of the Obama sticker bearers.
In both circumstances, the Obamabots became angry and responded exactly the way their model, President "Eye Candy" Barack Hussein Obama, responds when he's confronted with anyone who questions his sovereignty.
How many times across the nation is this same scenario playing out, with conservatives willing to take the risk of engaging potentially nasty people who sometimes (not exaggerating here) become violent?
I believe these incidents are exemplary of an enormous change, a preference cascade if you will, that is happening across the nation. Conservatives are finally empowered to be politically involved and interact to preserve the liberties of our nation's people, even those with whom we disagree and who would snatch our own rights from us.
That Romney is even in the game and in the lead is pretty incredible, considering the  press has become worse than Pravda, Hollywood, movies, celebrities, magazines, newspapers and academia are all pushing the Obama ticket hard, regardless the truth or reality.
One might also note that there is an intense passion among many people about what actually happened in Libya, the lack of action and the secrecy surrounding that night.
The video Hoosierman posted of last night's Pat Caddell interview is exemplary of the emotion and anger many people, including Democrat pollsters like Caddell and Dem operatives like Kirsten Powers, feel about the negligence, lack of transparency and inhumane behavior exhibited in this incident.
Yeah, there's something strange and huge happening here. People who've paid their taxes, kept their mouths shut and worked hard all their lives are rebelling against the ruling class that has decided they rule this country.
  This isn't about race.
It's about the power each one of us as citizens has to control as much of our destiny as we can.
I keep thinking about one woman who voted for Obama last time said over at Breitbart:
"I was fooled, I kick myself everyday," she said. "I said: 'In four years I'll get you buddy -- and I'm going to.'"
  And I second this notion:
How this will end we do not know.
But I do know the fight won't be lost from somnolence on our part.
We beat them back, one by one.

Pat Caddell's Scathing Comments on Obama and the Media

Pat Caddell was Jimmy Carter's campaign manager and a lifelong Democrat. He insists he has not changed his voter registration but he is no fan of Obama or the Clintons. I've noticed that nothing I can remember in politics has produced the outrage that has Obama's handling of the Benghazi raid. Caddell's voice cracks as he tries to control his outrage and anger.

"Bump in the Road" ad will run during "Seal Team Six" debut

The ad "A Bump in the Road " is already running in Ohio and Virginia. Created by the Special Operations OPSEC Education Fund, a political action committee made up of former special operations and intelligence members, it will air in key swing states during the prime-time debut of Harvey Weinstein's new "Seal Team Six: The Raid on Osama Bin Laden." The movie and the ad are scheduled to run on the National Geographic channel two days before the election. The group's leader, Scott Taylor says the Obama administration didn't "tell the truth about what happened" in the attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya. The  New York Times reported Tuesday the original version of Weinstein's film had been recut to include a more prominent role for Obama. Obama has been conspicuously modest about his role in Libya, removing the possibility that it will be the subject for a sequel.

Presidential Dereliction of Duty

Robert "Bud" McFarlane was a National Security Advisor to Ronald Reagan. He was the father of the Strategic Defense Initiative better know as Star Wars. His assessment of Obama's handling of the the Benghazi attack is as harsh as any one is apt to hear.

Admit the truth when things fall apart

Ominous signs are in the heavens for Barack Hussein Obama. He's dropped precipitously in the polls. Some major papers who have traditionally endorsed Democrats have endorsed Romney. Romney is climbing in popularity and huge crowds are at his events, even in the rain.

Worse, the questions about Benghazi are heating up, the questions growing and even loyal Democrats are jumping ship. On FNC tonight, Pat Caddell was so emotional I thought he was going to cry, not over the politics of Benghazi but the lack of personal concern over the deaths of these 4 Americans.
In fact, national angst is growing, not just politically but personally, over what happened in Beghazi.
One of the most remarkable stories is being told by Charles Woods, father of murdered Ty Woods, who says he does not want to make political hay out of the murder of his sons but he would like a return to honor and truthfulness.

An interesting anonymous military caller called Rush on Friday with some very detailed information about the incident.
An interesting anonymous military blogger is corresponding with Black Five with some very detailed information about the incident.
Two military men have been unceremoniously dumped. Others may be on the way.
But all signs point to Obama, the man with the "steel spine" who killed Osama, as being the reason 4 Americans are dead.
And it's not just that they're dead.
It's that he went to sleep while the firefight was still on, even after refusing to help them. It's that he went to a fundraiser to hear the cheers and get the money within 24 hours of their deaths.
I'm guessing we'll be hearing many more informed insiders revealing inside information as we approach the election because Americans, and especially the military, are nauseated by the actions of this president.
You can draw one conclusion from these stories and it is this.

Another liberal paper endorses Romney

Detroit News has endorsed Romney, along with the Detroit Free Press and the Chicago Tribune.
Now the Des Moines Register has endorsed Romney, the first Republican in 40 years.
You'll recall that the Register is the paper that had a dust-up with Obama earlier, one in which Obama claimed the sequester WOULD be taking place, even though he said it would NOT happen at the last debate.
Still, it was assumed by just about everyone that the Register would still endorse Obama.
This endorsement comes as a shock.
Add to that the 7 point drop in Obama's approval level and the fact that AlGore's tv station is on the block and you have the makings of an excellent weekend.
  Heh.

Obama's Approval Drops 7 Points in 3 Days

Whoops! About your approval rating, Mr. President. It's dropped 7 points in 3 days! According to Gallup on October 23 it was 53 approve to 46 disapprove. On October 26 it was 46 approve and 49 disapprove. Would Jennifer Griffin of Fox News and her report that your administration refused to help your ambassador and the other Americans have anything to do with this? Isn't this a very unfortunate happenstance coming just before the election?

Ah! I can't breathe! The air is poisoned! If only I'd voted Democrat!

Two interesting videos this Saturday afternoon. The first is the report on a woman--Denver Democrat of the year--who was convicted of stealing a blind, developmentally challenged elderly woman who is wheel chair bound and suffers from cerebral palsy.
Though the Democrats knew she was accused of this, they went ahead and awarded her the honor; she was convicted and can be sentenced to 9 years in prison.
The rationale was that the incidents should be "compartmentalized" and one having " no bearing on another," because, you know, you can be a commie and be for freedom, y'know? And so you can be a fraud, a creep, a thug and a cheat and still be a Democrat. But I repeat myself.
  Now that says something!

Then there's this fraud being perpetrated on the public through YouTube.
  Here are the lyrics:

Lyrics:

Imagine an America
Where strip mines are fun and free
Where gays can be fixed
And sick people just die
And oil fills the sea
We don't have to pay for freeways!
Our schools are good enough
Give us endless wars
On foreign shores
And lots of Chinese stuff
We're the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And we're kinda blaming you
We haven't killed all the polar bears
But it's not for lack of trying
Big Bird is sacked
The Earth is cracked
And the atmosphere is frying
Congress went home early
They did their best we know
You can't cut spending
With elections pending
Unless it's welfare dough
We're the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And we're kinda blaming you
Find a park that is still open
And take a breath of poison air
They foreclosed your place
To build a weapon in space
But you can write off your au pair
It's a little awkward to tell you
But you left us holding the bag
When we look around
The place is all dumbed down
And the long term's kind of a drag
We're the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And yeah, we're blaming you
You did your best
You failed the test
Mom and Dad
We're blaming you

So if a Republican is elected, there will be endless wars, dead polar bears, poison air and you'll be able to write off your au pair.  Wow.
  Those kids are really perceptive.
  And really political.
As they say in sunny circles of mind-numbed robots, Enjoy!

Pentagon Sacks Two Senior Officers in Wake of Benghazi Raid

It's not clear what the hell has been going on in the Pentagon since the Benghazi attack but two ranking officers have been relieved of their commands. Readers will remember the video clip in which Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta states

" (The) basic principle is that you don't deploy forces into harm's way without knowing what's going on; without having some real-time information about what's taking place. And as a result of not having that kind of information, the commander who was on the ground in that area, Gen. Ham, Gen. Dempsey and I felt very strongly that we could not put forces at risk in that situation."

Well, the General Ham Panetta refers to has been relieved of command with no official explanation but there is this account floating about the internet.
The information I heard today was that General Ham as head of Africom received the same e-mails the White House received requesting help/support as the attack was taking place. General Ham immediately had a rapid response unit ready and communicated to the Pentagon that he had a unit ready.
General Ham then received the order to stand down. His response was to screw it, he was going to help anyhow. Within 30 seconds to a minute after making the move to respond, his second in command apprehended General Ham and told him that he was now relieved of his command.
According to Fox News Rear Adm. Charles M. Gaouette who commanded the USS John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group was relieved of command in the midst of his deployment and replaced by Adm. Troy M. Shoemaker until an investigation can be completed. The Navy did not reveal details of the allegations, citing only an accusation of "inappropriate leadership judgment" that arose during the strike group's deployment to the Middle East.

It could be that Adm. Gaouette's "inappropriate leadership judgment" had nothing to do with Benghazi but when the Pentagon sacks two ranking officers in as many weeks and offers only vague explanations it invites suspicion that something untoward is afoot.

Update: General Ham is leaving the army. See this post.

Chevron Corporation Donates to Congressional Leadership Fund

In Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission and subsequent rulings, the courts have upended the campaign finance system by making it easier for corporations, unions and wealthy individuals to spend money directly on elections. In spite of the Democrat's dire warning that corporations would buy elections very few publicly traded corporations have donated to political action committees.

Chevron Corporation has become the first major publicly traded company to wade into partisan politics with a donation of $2.5 million to the Congressional Leadership Fund, a super PAC focused on House races with close ties to Speaker John Boehner. Chevron explained its position thus;

“Chevron exercises its right to participate in the political process through various contributions. All of our political contributions are fully disclosed. We support political initiatives and candidates committed to economic development, creating affordable energy, strengthening American businesses, and delivering good government.”

Maybe the Democrats do have cause to worry. If the oil companies can offset the power of not for profit foundations to strangle energy production in this country it could spell the end to our contrived energy shortage.

Electing Obama Could End Drilling in Ohio and Pennsylvania

Ohio and Pennsylvania have enjoyed a bit of a boom in recent years, at least compared to the rest of the country. Much of this boom is attributable to the discovery of the Marcellus and Utica shale formations and the gas and oil they hold. Obama has tried to capitalize on this boom, citing his economic policies and in particular the Chrysler and GM bailouts. In truth the auto industry in Ohio is down about 50,000 jobs and the boom is the result of gains made in other sectors of the economy notably the exploration and production of natural gas and oil from the Utica Shale. By electing Obama Ohio and Pennsylvania would jeopardize their relative prosperity if his EPA strangles new energy production.

Mushy brained new Obama music video

This is the new "grassroots" celebrity music video touting Obama's historically communist Forward theme.
Even the WaPo has some issues with it.
Significant problems arise, however, when you engage your brain to the overall messaging and visualization of this video.
  It's, like, creepy.
Many of the scenes look like cuts from a Zombie movie, with troops of people mindlessly miming identical arm and hand motions, lurching forward in packs listening to a single voice dripping in platitudes and innocuous rhetoric driving them Forward.
There's also a certain amount of irony with all these right wing h8ters chirping about holding others' hands and filling others' cups, considering that anybody who disagrees with them is threatened with vandalism, murder and torture, not in that order.
  Here are the lyrics:
U CAN’T GIVE UP ON HOPE EACH OTHER’S HAND WE HOLD WE’RE ON A LONG HARD ROAD BUT WE TRAVEL IT TOGETHER
WE PULL EACH OTHER UP WE FILL EACH OTHER’S CUP SO WE ALL HAVE ENOUGH WE’RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER
CAUSE OH WE’RE HALF THE WAY THERE SO STAND UP IF YOU CARE

FORWARD - WE NEED TO MAKE OUR WAY FORWARD - EACH AND EVERY DAY FORWARD - YOU NEED TO VOTE AND SAY KEEP US MOVING FORWARD
FORWARD - BUILDING EVERYDAY FORWARD - YEAH, WE’RE ON OUR WAY FORWARD - LET ‘EM HEAR YOU SAY WE’LL MOVE THIS COUNTRY FORWARD

YES THINGS ARE STILL TOUGH NOW BUT TAKE A MOMENT AND THINK HOW WE’VE COME SO FAR AND WOW WE DID IT ALL TOGETHER
FOR ALL AND NOT JUST SOME FOR THE MANY NOT JUST ONE AND WE’RE SO FAR FROM DONE THERE’S A CLEARING IN THE WEATHER
NO TIME TO BACK DOWN WE’RE ON OUR WAY TO HIGHER GROUND

FORWARD - WE NEED TO MAKE OUR WAY FORWARD - EACH AND EVERY DAY FORWARD - YOU NEED TO VOTE AND SAY KEEP US MOVING FORWARD
FORWARD - BUILDING EVERYDAY FORWARD - YEAH, WE ARE ON OUR WAY FORWARD - LET ‘EM HEAR YOU SAY WE’LL MOVE THIS COUNTRY FORWARD

CAUSE WE’RE HALF THE WAY THERE SO STAND UP IF YOU CARE
FORWARD - RESPONSIBILITY FORWARD - WITH DIGNITY FORWARD - AND CIVILITY KEEP US MOVING FORWARD
FORWARD - WITH EQUALITY FORWARD - WITH STABILITY FORWARD - AND HUMANITY MOVE OUR COUNTRY FORWARD

  I dunno.
We've come so far? To what are these chirpers referring? Record debt? Record unemployment? Record welfare rolls? Record racial animus?
And where does this whole "We're halfway there" idea originate? Halfway to WHERE? And if it's halfway to where I think they're going, eh, I don't want to go.
Intellectually perhaps you had an excuse to be in love with the idea of Obama in 2008.
Emotionally perhaps you had an excuse to be in love with the idea of Obama in 2008. From that emotional starry-eyed womb-like state of being which cocooned the soft-brained sprang many melodramatic saccharine videos touting the wonders of the Chicago Jesus, the light bringer who was going to shake the planet to its very oceans and tides.
Now, after all he's shown us--the pettiness, the lies, the deceit, the attempt to control every aspect of our lives, the power grabs, the drones, the greed, the out of control spending, the selfishness, the dangerous bowing to countries and agencies who despise this country--if you participate in the hoax that is Obama, you're just downright stupid.
  And a zombie.
Just like the actors in this video.
  You're a zombie.

General David Petraeus And CIA Want No Part Of Orders To Stand Down

Oh oh! this looks awkward. The CIA, presumably with the blessing of its director, General David Petraeus has put out this statement; "No one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate.”  If the orders to "stand down" did not come from the CIA from where did they come? They would have had to come from the White House Situation Room.

Kirsten Powers Slams Panetta Over Benghazi Debacle

My opinion of Kirsten Powers has changed over the years or perhaps she has changed. In 2009 she was squarely behind Obama but no longer. This is one of the more impassioned criticisms of the handling of the Benghazi killings I've seen.
Everyone with the IQ of an eggplant knows that the decision to hang the ambassador and the other Americans out to dry was Obama's decision. The decision to deploy combat troops into a sovereign nation would have to come from the president and in this case the president voted present. If, as Panetta says, this decision was made by himself and Generals Dempsey and Hamm the first thing Romney should do after he is sworn in is to demand their resignations and order a board of inquiry to see if they should be court-martialed.
We do put troops in harms way even when we do not know all of the variables. We sent firemen into the World Trade Center and over 300 of them perished yet should such a catastrophe occur again we would do the same.

Kirsten Powers: How much better information do you need than watching it live? That's my question. I mean by their own accounts there's a drone over them watching it unfold. So I don't understand this idea that they don't have access.
Bret Baier: They say there's a lull in the fighting, They say they think it's over.
Kirsten Powers: You have a CIA agent who gave his life because he was so convinced that the ambassador was in danger. I mean this is so outrageous. I cannot even understand that people are not more...here is a man who went and gave his life. He was so sure that this was going on. He made phone calls and was told to stand down. That's all you need to know. This man gave his life, going to try to save this ambassador. Why did he that if, there, if he didn't know what was going on.
In a post I did earlier today Jennifer Griffin reported that "... There were no communications problems at the annex, according those present at the compound. The team was in constant radio contact with their headquarters. In fact, at least one member of the team was on the roof of the annex manning a heavy machine gun when mortars were fired at the CIA compound. The security officer had a laser on the target that was firing and repeatedly requested back-up support from a Spectre gunship, which is commonly used by U.S. Special Operations forces to provide support to Special Operations teams on the ground involved in intense firefights."

From a former Delta Force Operative comes this information:
Having spent a good bit of time nursing a GLD (ground Laser Designator) in several garden spots around the world, something from the report jumped out at me.

One of the former SEALs was actively painting the target. That means that Specter WAS ON STATION! Probably an AC130U. A ground laser designator is not a briefing pointer laser. You do not "paint" a target until the weapons system/designator is synched; which means that the AC130 was on station.

Only two places could have called off the attack at that point; the WH situation command (based on POTUS direction) or AFRICOM commander based on information directly from the target area.

If the AC130 never left Sigonella (as Panetta says) that means that the Predator that was filming the whole thing was armed.

If that SEAL was actively "painting" a target; something was on station to engage! And the decision to stand down goes directly to POTUS!

So an armed drone or C130 was dispatched and Obama, probably on the advice of Valerie Jarrett, called it back? It will be a long time before the voters ever trust another Democrat with the presidency.

Why is gas suddenly so cheap in NW Ohio?

I saw it at $2.99 a gallon today but only got a pic of this price, which is all over the place right now.
Just curious why gas prices started sinking about 2 weeks ago when it was about $3.80 a gallon.
  Now???

Hey, Colbert: When did death become so funny?

If you can stomach watching this Stephen Colbert mockery of Fox News solitary coverage of the horrendous and despicable Benghazi attack, you might feel a shudder as you watch a "comedian" mock the coverage of the deaths of 4 people who could have been saved if the CIA et al had bothered to respond to the three calls of distress.
The LA Times thinks this is really funny, that Colbert's "takedown" is so devastatingly amusing and accurate that you won't want to bother actually thinking about what actually happened, as family members grieve over their dead, only Fox, radio and blogs cover the story and the Obama administration encourages this flippant response to deaths that could have been prevented if Obama had given the ok rather than go to sleep, unbothered by the frantic scrambling to stay alive by Americans who were abandoned by their peers.
Watch, if you can, this Orwellian demonstration of turning away from the basic tenets of human decency and toward spin, a voice that softly lulls you into not caring about the facts, or reality or truth.
From Fox, which the Left terms "Faux News," apparently because they cannot deal with a reality outside the safety of the mockery of Colbert and Stewart.
Fox News has learned from sources who were on the ground in Benghazi that an urgent request from the CIA annex for military back-up during the attack on the U.S. consulate and subsequent attack several hours later on the annex itself was denied by the CIA chain of command -- who also told the CIA operators twice to "stand down" rather than help the ambassador's team when shots were heard at approximately 9:40 p.m. in Benghazi on Sept. 11.
Former Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods was part of a small team who was at the CIA annex about a mile from the U.S. consulate where Ambassador Chris Stevens and his team came under attack. When he and others heard the shots fired, they informed their higher-ups at the annex to tell them what they were hearing and requested permission to go to the consulate and help out. They were told to "stand down," according to sources familiar with the exchange. Soon after, they were again told to "stand down."

Shame ! Americans Left to Die in Benghazi 3 Requests for Aid Denied

We need to see some court martial's happen and quick. Fox News is reporting that three request for military aid were made by the consulate and all three requests were denied. Former Navy SEAL's Tyrone Woods disobeyed orders to "stand down" and went to the aid of Ambassador Chris Stevens.
Woods and at least two others ignored those orders and made their way to the consulate which at that point was on fire. Shots were exchanged. The rescue team from the CIA annex evacuated those who remained at the consulate and Sean Smith, who had been killed in the initial attack. They could not find the ambassador and returned to the CIA annex at about midnight.
At that point, they called again for military support and help because they were taking fire at the CIA safe house, or annex. The request was denied. Special Operations forces to provide support to Special Operations teams on the ground involved in intense firefights. The fighting at the CIA annex went on for more than four hours -- enough time for any planes based in Sigonella Air base, just 480 miles away, to arrive. Fox News has also learned that two separate Tier One Special operations forces were told to wait, among them Delta Force operators.

Obama campaign crumbling IN REAL TIME

Now that we know that Obama wasn't really interested in the deaths of the 4 Americans in Benghazi and now that we know that the attack was watched in real time (regardless what Geraldo says) in Washington, we might look at the overall drift of the Obama campaign.
With advisors like these, why would you think Obama's actions were unusual?
Two weeks before the election, Obama has presented to the public a shiny new pamphlet to "explain" his jobs plan.
This shiny new pamphlet is mercifully substance free, metaphorically significant of the current Obama doctrine.
The pamphlet is called "The New Economic Patriotism: A Plan for Jobs & Middle-Class Security" and can be seen here

  • Front page
  • Page 2-Obama talking to workers
  • Page 3-Obama lecturing manufacturing audience
  • Page 4-Obama in a factory absorbing fascinating information
  • Page 5-Obama shmoozing attractive small business owner
  • Page 6-Obama shmoozing cute little kids
  • Page 7-Obama shaking hands with adoring parents and kids
  • Page 8-Obama walking with white coated persons, talking seriously
  • Page 9-Obama with grey hair talking to old lady about Medicare
  • Page 10-Obama reaching out dramatically to Latinos
  • Page 11-Index of Obama pictures and how his same ole same ole will affect you.
How this is defined as patriotism is unclear.
So now we have the glossies out of the way, let's talk about the other approaches of the Obama campaign.
Criticize, mock and ridicule Romney like he's an idiot, thus also diminishing the Americans who plan on voting for him.
Focus on "the war on women," thus fanning the flames of resentment and envy.
Appear in copious soft and gauzy venues, including comedy shows where no one will ask any serious questions and Hollywood gossip shows. Lean forward toward host, talking seriously for 60 seconds about how much you care about the men who were murdered in Benghazi.
  Shift focus to Big Bird.
Shift focus back to war on women through Binders.
Lie about sequester; then focus on how important it is that Americans trust their president.
Send out pathetic emails that, hey, I might be losing and I'll be fine but I'm really worried about YOU so send me cash so I don't lose and can continue WHAT WE'VE STARTED.
Which is exactly the reason no one wants him as president any more.
I'd say the campaign is floundering.

Company Cuts 450 Jobs 1 Day Before Biden Visit

Even the thick headed leadership of United Auto Workers will see the irony of Joe Biden's campaigning in Oshkosh one day after the city's largest employer, Oshkosh Corp, announced the layoff of 450 production workers due to cuts in defense spending. The company said it weighed multiple options to lessen the impact on the workforce, including asking the U.S. Army for permission to spread out the production of military vehicles over a longer period of time.

I think the company might be trying to send Obama a message.

Could Hurricane Sandy be Obama's Perfect Storm?

It looks as if Mother Nature is about to grant President Obama one more opportunity to look presidential. The drawback is he will have to also have to affect the appearance of competence, an activity that has become something of a high wire act for him in recent months. It will be interesting to see how he balances the duties of the presidency with the demands of his campaign. Some weather forecasters are calling the unusual combination of a Hurricane Sandy and winter weather from the Midwest “Frankenstorm". If the storm lives up to predictions there could be extensive inland flooding, rain, snow, and downed power lines that may leave large areas of key battleground states Virginia and Pennsylvania without power for a week possibly making campaigning in those areas logistically impossible.

Should large portions of those two states be without power there will probably be clamoring by Democrats to postpone the elections but both states are under Republican control who would be loath to set such a historical precedent especially when it would advantage the opposition.

Surely FEMA will have all hands on deck but even the best efforts will result in grumbling, second guessing, and maybe even rioting. The president will be expected to visit hard hit areas which might play to his advantage but only if the damage is in battleground states. I suppose the worst case would be Obama would have to spend days in New York and Massachusetts bemoaning the crumbling infrastructure and the shortage cops and firemen and science teacher to teach the consequences of global warming while he inspects flooded basements.  Even if the actual damage is minimal, as I hope is the case, Obama will be hard pressed to appear presidential without being partisan as he has already proven he cannot appear partisan without appearing unpresidential.

Biden comforts father by commenting on dead son's penis size

Is Joe Biden the most disgusting stupid idiot in the whole world?
On what planet would behavior like this be acceptable?
And as Vice President of the United States, is this the kind of thing you'd say to comfort a grieving father who's just lost a son who sacrificed his life for his country?
Woods said Biden came over to his family and asked in a “loud and boisterous” voice, “Did your son always have balls the size of cue balls?”
“Are these the words of someone who is sorry?” said Woods.
Pukefest. That anyone thinks Old Joe is just a harmless lovable old codger needs to get a clue.
  This is sick.
Charles Woods, father of Ty Woods, gave an interview to Glenn Beck. There's more here at The Blaze, including Hillary's reaction and Obama's reaction.

Ugh. My first time.

  Stolen from Powerline.
Who stole it from Barack Hussein Obama.
  Ugh.
I wasn't going to say anything about this but I can't resist, along with everybody else around the web.
Even if I could ignore what she's saying, this girl is positively revolting: I hate everything about her.
Her fat arms, her ugly tattoos, her smoodgy camera face, her dirty innuendos.
Her cheap jewelry. Her sleazy blouse.
  Her smug expression.
Her assumption that the event of voting for Barack Obama is as good as or equivalent to a sexual act is positively nauseating.
That the Obama campaign thinks this is a good thing tells you a lot about that lousy campaign.
Like I said, I hate everything about her.

Untrustworthy POTUS lies about sequester

At the last debate Obama said this about sequestration, which is the plan to decimate the military but will also affect education, Medicare and government spending in an attempt to balance the budget:
Obama said during Monday night’s debate that the sequester “will not happen.”
Yet a day later Obama said this "off the record" to the Des Moines Register, assuming that the sequester will take place:
OBAMA: “So when you combine the Bush tax cuts expiring, the sequester in place, the commitment of both myself and my opponent — at least Governor Romney claims that he wants to reduce the deficit — but we’re going to be in a position where I believe in the first six months we are going to solve that big piece of business.”
This is only one of the many lies that Obama has told--although a lie with drastic implications--over the years.
This week Obama also emphasized that the reason people should vote for him, particularly women, is that we can trust him:
“When you elect a president, you’re counting on someone you can trust to fight for you, who you can trust to do what they say they’re going to do, who you can trust to make sure that when something unexpected happens he or she is going to be thinking about your family, your future,” Obama said. “Trust matters.”
In an apparent scramble to block publication of his "off the record" comments, Obama's people forbade the Des Moines Register from publishing his comment that he's planning on pushing through the sequester regardless what he said earlier.
""You can take a videotape of things I said 10 years ago, 12 years ago and you'd say, 'Man this is the same guy,'" he insisted after criticizing Mitt Romney for changing his positions on issues.
The Register got back at him, however, by printing this front page, even though The Register will probably endorse Obama:
Here's the video where you can watch the POTUS's urge you to trust him in dulcet tones:

  God.
Like Hoosierman says, I'm afraid to go to sleep at night, wondering what monstrous new scheme he's cooking up.
  You just can't trust him.
  Know what I mean?
