Shut Up Santorum
There is a lot that can be said for keeping your mouth shut and Rick Santorum should know that. As the dust-up following the Washington Post article on Rick Perry's hunting ranch that his family leased 30 years ago and some supposed insensitive word written on a stone was about to die a well earned death Santorum decided to keep it alive. Caution, Rick Santorum, Herman Cain has already embarrassed himself on this topic and it does serve the Republican party well to have an internal race war. "I've read the case and read the articles and I guess … all I can say is that it certainly is poor judgment if he did leave it up there. I don't believe Rick Perry's a racist but certainly he showed — if what you're saying is true, he showed poor judgment," remarked the former Senator to CNN. The question the nags me worse than 30 year old slander is; Are Herman Cain and Rick Santorum smart enough to speak their own minds or can any FoxNews or CNN anchor make them say whatever they want them to say. We have seen this show before. After just being elected to the chair of the RNC, Michael Steele went on CNN and said, at the coaxing of the two interviewers, that Rush Limbaugh was an “entertainer” whose show could be " “incendiary". Rush had defended Steele against unfair attacks when he was running for Governor of Maryland. In the end he apologized. So Rick Santorum, and you too Herman Cain, do not ever compare yourselves to Ronald Reagan because he would have never allowed anyone to put words in his mouth. If Rick Perry is guilty of poor judgment what the hell do we call this noise from Santorum and Cain?
