"The Last Word" Will be Moved to Last Place
Lawrence O'Donnell's "The Last Word" will be moved to last place in MSNBC's evening schedule. The Ed Show will take his 8 PM slot while O'Donnell who must not be ready for prime time will preside over the 10 PM slot. O'Donnell, who recently spent a great deal of his time lecturing presidential candidate Herman Cain on the proper roll for blacks in the segregated south, apparently is dragging down Rachel Maddow whose audience share has dropped 15 percent over the last year. “MSNBC may be rediscovering the downside of partisan news,” said Chris Daly, a professor of journalism at Boston University. “That is, the size of your audience is essentially cajoled by the size of the electorate that already agrees with you.”
