Gun Control Legislation To Be Introduced Today

This blog has entertained the theory that Operation Gun Runner, aka Fast and Furious was a deliberate attempt to stir up support for gun control legislation. It has succeeded in that. Later today U.S. Representatives Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY), Elijah E. Cummings (D-MD), ranking member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, and Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY) will join other members and a leading law enforcement organization for an event to introduce the “Stop Gun Trafficking and Strengthen Law Enforcement Act”. Fortunately the Democrats no longer control the House but this does afford the Representatives the opportunity to get on television and maybe to raise some campaign cash from the anti-second amendment lobby. Why are voters so cynical?
