Times have changed.
Their *MESSAGE* is urgent, as they learned in their Civic Journalism classes, and they must scurry to instruct the naive flyover country voters of the foolishness of supporting conservatives. The only true way is the anointed way of the MSM.
Always in search of another opportunity to trash private but influential citizen Sarah Palin, the AP has another hit piece on Sarahcuda, although it's only a forerunner of what's to come from Joe McGinnis, book writer and exposer of all things right wing.
Rather than risk a lawsuit by actually quoting the AP, here's a little paraphrase of what old Joe has to say which, presumably, is still permissible on the web.
The original article is up at Breitbart:
- Old Joe's not creepy or snoopy, he swears. He's just a poor struggling writer pursuing a story in a house that happens to be next door to Sarah Palin's house in Alaska. If he REALLY wanted to
snoopget the story on Sarah, he'd rent a boat and sit on the lake in front of her house for ten hours every day. - Tons of people were willing to snitch on Sarah in Alaska.
- Alaskans were eager to defend friendly old Joe by offering him guns, guns and more guns in case something, you know, untoward were to happen.
- Why did old Joe need the guns? Because people in Alaska are really, really scared of Sarah Palin.
- Why are they scared of Sarah Palin? There is an undercurrent of deep and palpable terror involving Sarah Palin which may or may not be related to some mysterious power she has over people. You can feel this undercurrent wherever you walk in Alaska, as it emanates from the very streets and houses and trees. It's almost like a Stephen King novel, if you really listen to the old growth trees speak, "Fear Sarahcuda....fear Sarahcuda...."
- Sarah Palin's dimwitted "followers" are filled with hate, hate, hate, unimaginable hate that oozes from their emails, their voices and any contact they had with old Joe.
- Todd too is aggressive and prone to bullying.
- People brought Writer Joe blueberry pies while he was living next door to Palins hoping to
snitchexist in peaceful harmony with Nature, which is the real reason he went to Alaska anyway. - Old Joe himself was a good and loyal neighbor who wouldn't let people trample on the Palins' property. He defended their right to privacy. Erp.
- He intuited that she's running for president. This is, of course, she's greedy, self-absorbed and ambitious.
Just a reminder of the deceitful human being that is Joe McGinniss over at WizBangBlog written by Kim Priestap:
Now, if Joe McGinniss truly was the "well regarded" and "highly respectful" investigative journalist his publishing house said he is, why he didn't actually do the legwork MacDonald's defense team paid him to do and investigate and report MacDonald's story? The answer is obvious: a book about a handsome Army doctor who turned psychopathic and drug crazed and viciously murdered his beautiful - and pregnant - wife and two young daughters is far more compelling and sells far more books than a book about prosecutorial misconduct, as evidenced by the fact that many people have heard of Fatal Vision but few have heard of Fatal Justice.
All this makes it even more disturbing that McGinniss has now targeted Sarah Palin for the same kind of treatment he gave Jeffrey MacDonald. Even though Sarah Palin is in a position where she can defend herself against McGinniss's lies, whereas MacDonald could not, there are still a lot of people in this country who hate her and her family so much that they will believe anything negative about her, no matter how untrue.
