Government health care: WAIT. We're busy.
Considering that 158 new layers of government departments will be created with the health care bill, observing the English and Canadian health care programs is instructive. Here is another story about someone who, eh, fell beneath the cracks. Meh. We tried, but we were busy. Overworked. Not enough doctors and nurses covering the entire hospital. So sorry. Too bad. You lost a baby? Meh. It's always the same story and always not their fault. Been to the Post Office lately? Attitude. Imagine that with health care. Read about it at The Guardian:
The 29-year-old Peakes woman was nine weeks pregnant when on July 12 she started bleeding.
Fearing the worst, Handrahan and her husband, Michael, headed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s new emergency room.
There she waited more than three hours, blood seeping out of her jeans, tears rolling down her face as she feared she was losing her baby — or that she might be bleeding to death.
Here's the health care pdf of the new bureaucracy. Here's an explanation. Many people are saying, "Oh, that's never going to happen."
Sorry to disagree but, YES, it's going to happen unless YOU stop it.
