Let 'em eat cake!

  Lots of uproar about FLOTUS's jet setting ways around the nation and globe. More from liberal Lynn Sweet over at the SunTimes and, of course, the defender in chief Robert Gibbs. Apparently now FLOTUS is a "private citizen" even though our tax dollars, which are admittedly all being run off a printing press even as we speak (850 billion$ when he came into office and now $8.6 TRILLION to help pay for their vacations) who really doesn't have to account for the way she spends "her" money and vacations:
And Robert Gibbs:

"The first lady is on a private trip. She is a private citizen and is the mother of a daughter on a private trip. And I think I'd leave it at that," Gibbs said. 

NOT TO BE MISSED is Andrew Tantaros at the NY Daily News's deliciously snarky (and yet so observant) commentary that FLOTUS is turning into a modern day Marie Antoinette:
  Tantaros' point is that the MSM and the Obamas present the idea of sacrifice to all the people of this great country while jetting around the country and flagrantly abusing the generosity of its citizens. In truth, eight vacations this summer is a bit much. Rooms at the Spanish resort run up to $6000 a night, again a bit much. Managing to shoehorn the king of Spain into your schedule is nakedly transparent.
  Insensitive at the least. 
  As a side observation, wouldn't it have been nice if FLOTUS had waited a day and spent the 49th birthday with her husband? But no mind. Hillbuzz guys say he enjoys his time in Chicago. REALLY enjoys his time:
