Another moronic NY Times story, posted on Yahoo

Yahoo has an amazing number of stupid stories. This one is titled: "Who's to blame for student's $97,000 debt?" Now, you might be thinking the STUDENT is responsible for the debt but, well, you just might be wrong. Or misguided. Or something. For example, the GOVERNMENT can't be wrong. After all, the woman's mother co-signed. But Citi bank is. And the college is. Why didn't anyone tell her she was getting in over her head? And you might expect her to NOT live in one of the most expensive cities in the US (hint: San Francisco) but that would be expecting too much because she couldn't possibly live with her mother because there are no JOBS in New York.
