“There are waiting lists for various health-care services across Canada and we are not seeing patients offering bribes and physicians accepting bribes,” said Dr. Irfan Dhalla of Canadian Doctors for Medicare. “This is an abhorrent practice, an unethical practice and probably an illegal practice ... This is an issue about physicians accepting bribes. Only in Canada would we turn this into a question about two-tier medicine.”

Canada: desperate for health care
That wonderful health care system in Canada to which the dems who pushed national health care have pointed has a number of problems, including the fact that, if you want surgery or even to see a doctor, you have to wait, sometimes for months. You can get an MRI for your dog 8 months faster than for YOU. Now people who are desperate flee to the US or are trying to bribe their doctors, it is alleged. Read over at the National Post:
