Community colleges' windfall

The education funding act that was tacked on to the health care bill last week has several purposes. On one hand, the feds say it was because they wanted to "save money" and cut out the middle men. In truth, the feds want to be in charge of doling out the funding to whomever they deem appropriate. Now, the idea of dropping funding on needy individuals is one thing, but one of the problems with this is that the people receiving the funding often do not appreciate what they are receiving since they put so little into the actual funding themselves. Easy come, easy go, because it causes ME nothing. Read through this article, watch for the victimization and pathos assigned to community college students and then notice what that education restructuring is REALLY going for...including the fact that it is only a down payment on what is to come.
