Trading votes for judgeship?

Weekly Standard has a disgusting story. It looks like The One is using everything at his disposal, including taxpayer funds, our government and judgeships. I remember a story of Dems trying to get one of the members to vote on an unpopular bill; the member was so determined not to vote for it, that she ran out of the building to get away from her pursuers, who followed her there and brought her back in. I think they "encouraged" her to change a vote from no to yes. Never underestimate the power of these people, and who knows what promises are being made tonight for millions and millions of dollars and other jobs.
Tonight, Barack Obama will host ten House Democrats who voted against the health care bill in November at the White House; he's obviously trying to persuade them to switch their votes to yes. One of the ten is Jim Matheson of Utah. The White House just sent out a press release announcing that today President Obama nominated Matheson's brother Scott M. Matheson, Jr. to the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
