Here's the question for the day: if Democrats use reconciliation to change 16% of the national budget and restructure such an enormous part of our culture, why can't Republicans, if they attain majorities however slight, use reconciliation to appeal it? Over at Weasel Zippers:
God willing this abortion never passes, but if it does every Republican in the midterms will be running on a 'repeal' platform, and almost all will win. Note: I've heard there's some language in the bills where it can't be repealed (and I question the legality of that), but I have no solid proof, if anyone has it please pass it along...
