Obama countdown

The Obamas continue to amaze, astound and stupefy~or~ What a disaster this Africa trip has been!

  I'll be honest.
I am not enamored with following the minute details of most trials; I've been trying to ignore that the prosecution continues to make the case FOR Zimmerman.
And then I'm ignoring that the respectable "news" organization CNN had to go and give away Zimmerman's personal info and social security number by exposing it on screen.
And I can't stand that the Z haters snatched the info and are squealing it all over the internet. This would be in sympathy, of course, for the child Trayvon Martin.
I'm ignoring all that and just trying to enjoy the glum grayness of Northwest Ohio where it's been raining for about 10 days, undoubtedly due to global warming not.
So I'm lazing around, enjoying life, pretending that all the world's a peach and maybe the news doesn't really happen 24 hours a day and the Egyptians aren't in the agonizing grip of seeking democracy only to have our administration claim that we don't get involved in such politics even though we did call for the removal of the previous Egyptian leader.
Instead this administration snootily extends the royal scepter based on decisions apparently made by Valerie Jarrett while lolling about in the choom wagon.
But then the POTUS traveling in South Africa had to go and make an off prompter comment yesterday that completely changed daily blogging and forced me to get off my hammock, put down my martini and pick up the laptop.
In a video that could be easily inserted in the sequel to 2016 Obama's America Obama complained a few hours ago that since everyone in America has air conditioning and nice houses then the "planet will boil over" if Africans have that stuff too.
No, REALLY. He really said that.
  Here's the quote:
“Ultimately, if you think about all the youth that everybody has mentioned here in Africa, if everybody is raising living standards to the point where everybody has got a car and everybody has got air conditioning, and everybody has got a big house, well, the planet will boil over -- unless we find new ways of producing energy.”
Because, see, "new ways of producing energy" are the 2 millenia windmill, trains which date back to the 16th century and solar energy which dates back to the 7th century.
And, say, how's the algae powered car workin' out for ya?
But, you fool, forget actually utilizing modern resources, like building a pipeline from Canada or cleanly fracking the abundant natural gas resources that would make America the most energy rich country in the world, yielding the highest paid most abundant manufacturing jobs that Democrats have made clear they do not want.
Unlike President Bush, who dedicated his presidency to alleviating the scourge of AIDS in AFrica which even Leftists had to admit significantly improved the lives of Africans, President Obama feels no need to improve the lives of Africans by eradicating poverty or disease.
No, he prefers to take his moment in the African sun to create division between a "wealthy" country like the US and the poverty stricken cultures in Africa.
He prefers to scold people for wanting to be comfortable. You know, like live in a nice house and stuff.
He wants to take his moment in the African sun to bash Americans for wanting to stay cool using air conditioning, apparently forgetting that Obama himself spares no government expense by enjoying a really "toasty" office in winter. Meh. He'll just build himself another oval office because he can. Maybe his people will decorate this one better than the last. At any rate, it'll be cooled and heated as cool and hot as he pleases, regardless the impact on the planet.
Or never mind the $180,000 per hour jet he flies to vacation out of the States or that his wife decided to take an additional plane called Air Force Two to make a day jaunt to Ireland at a cost of a mere $10,000 per hour. And then somebody had to fly AF2 over there for her to utilize, whether she was on it or not. Oh, well, that little 2 day venture only cost the taxpayers $5 million, which pales in comparison to the (at least) $100 million the Africa trip is costing.
Besides, Michelle needed to get out of her "prison" for a few days. A "really nice prison," but a prison indeed for someone who adores being adored, right?
After all, she has self pityingly referred to herself as a murdered child; in Senegal, where 54% of the population lives below the poverty line, Michelle claimed she really understands their experiences in a poverty stricken community because she herself grow up fighting against poverty and low expectations. She has sacrificed, ya know, as have her parents:
"I know a little bit about this from my own experience. See, like many of you, I didn’t grow up in a family with a lot of money. My parents had to work hard every day to support us, so they never had the chance to get the kind of education they wanted for themselves. But they had big dreams for me. And more than anything in the world, they wanted me to graduate from secondary school and attend a university. So they, too, made tremendous sacrifices to make that dream come true," the first lady continued.
  Really?
Have you ever seen the house she grew up in?
Did you know her father was a Democrat biggie who made substantially more money than teachers did at the time?
Michelle's whole "working class" narrative completely falls apart, if the media would even bother to look at it.
But back to Obama, whose brilliant idea to relate to Africans is to “to see if we can leapfrog some of the polluting practices of America or Europe, and go straight to the clean energy strategies that will allow you to advance economic growth, but not corrupt the planet.”
Nothing like condescending to the natives, y'all. The Great White/Black Father Obama knows what's best for y'all. Trust him. Oh, wait. He said not to. My bad.
So I guess the Africans are doomed to try to air condition their houses with a windmill and ride on the 21st century train to economic prosperity where their lives will be enriched by the kind of health care we used to have.
No, the Great White/Black Father wants to encourage entrepreneurship in Africa, since he obviously isn't interested in doing it here. But don't trust anybody, not even the US!!!!

Sigh. Yeah. It's embarrassing. If I had the energy, I'd make a sad faced picture of myself saying, "I'm sorry for voting for this doofus."
  Only I didn't.
So I guess all I can do is console myself by returning to the hammock and the martini.
But dang. If that darned Mandela wouldn't have gotten sick, this Africa trip would have gone better, dammit.
