A primary challenge for Justin Amash

I didn't think they had the stones. The establishment GOP is going after Congressman Justin Amash big time. The second term congressman from Grand Rapids is just too libertarian, won't listen to Speaker Boehner, won't vote for Paul Ryan's budget because it won't balance in this decade, and would not vote to reopen the government after the shutdown. Something else Amash does not do, he doesn't take money from K Street lobbyists and that is his chief sin. Seven deep pocketed GOP donors are backing businessman Bill Huizenga. Huizenga has raised $294,764, with PACs contributing $122,108. Amash has received only $5,000 from PACs but he is not without friends.
"We have heard that the K Street establishment wants to knock him off — and we intend to defend him punch-for-punch," Dean Clancy of FreedomWorks declared. Club for Growth has backed Amash in the past is not going away either. Nor are the Rand Paul supporters who view Amash as the lower house incarnation of Rand himself. For all its money K Street has yet to prove it can turn out highly motivated primary voters. I'll put my money on Amash.
