The right leaning bloggers are in a weird mood today. It not pessimism. Call trepidation. It's almost like the morning of your wedding. You always knew it would get here but now here it is and the only thing you can think of is a good place to hide or maybe throw down a double shot just to make your hands steady. Take a deep breath and remember that this is the end of a four year struggle. This is the finale to the quest that began with a rant by CNBC reporter Rick Santelli that produced the biggest shift in congress in modern history when you and your friends got your neighbors to the polls and produced results that left the same pundits who confidently predict an Obama victory today shaking, raging, and dejected.
Very little has changed since then yet almost in unison yesterday Republican pundit became crestfallen. Thank God the people don't listen them. So polling and punditry aside we turn to intuition.
"Romney certainly looks peaceful like someone who knows he gave it his very best and has no personal regrets. He really worked it and worked it hard. But he also seems joyous and happy. And the president does not to me.”
