Romney Creeps Closer

Someone said that a person goes broke slowly at first then all at once. So far Obama's polling show he is slowly but consistently losing ground. The latest update of Karl Rove's map shows Colorado moving from "lean" Obama to pure "toss up". Connecticut has slipped from "safe" Obama to "lean" Obama. I recently wrote that PPP had put Obama ahead by 8 in the Nutmeg State which he had carried by 23% against McCain. It would not unexpected for Wisconsin to move from "lean: Obama to "toss up" after Paul Ryan's VP selection. The Rove map show Obama with a total of 272 electoral votes which means he can only afford to lose two more if he is to win. Rove is kinder to Obama in his projections than is Real Clear Politics which show Obama with 237 EV's to Romney's 191 with 110 toss ups.
Showing some desperation Obama has had to quit the Midwest, Virginia, and Florida to shore up his lead in Iowa in Colorado. He campaigned for 5 days in these two states which have a combined 15 EV's The RCP average has him up 1% in Iowa and 1.2% in Colorado. If Republicans are concerned about Romney's lack of progress it must be nothing compared to the Democrats' concern as they see this race slowly slipping away.
