In election season, and every time a conservative steps on the political circuit, you can guarantee that, if the conservative is female, she will be called the vilest names, jeered, ridiculed, mocked and leered at as if she were a prostitute.
If the conservative is a male, the obligatory bimbo will be produced. The bimbo will claim a child belonging to the male, an illicit affair or absolutely despicable and unverifiable conduct on the part of the conservative male.
The drumbeat from the press will be unremitting; if necessary, more bimbos will be produced. If it looks like the conservative isn't giving up and the public still supports him or her, more and more bimbos will appear before the camera, often with Gloria Allred.
So naturally Scott Walker is in the crosshairs of Wisconsin Democrats.
Bimbo story? Check.
Scott Walker reprehensible behavior? Check.
Anguished friend testifying to said reprehensible behavior, "war on women" lingo? Check.
Sooooo all the elements are carefully in place.

Uh. Yeah.
It wasn't true, which they usually aren't. It's the drumbeat of the press that shapes public perception, not truth.
This time the smack down came quickly, so quickly that the Gateway Pundit dubbed it an hour.

We're just waiting for the Romney bimbo to emerge.
The problem is these kinds of things just aren't working anymore. There's too much information out there and the public is simply too cynical to accept these scams so easily anymore.
