The Daily Caller is reporting that two DOJ prosecutors accepted cash bribes from allegedly corrupt finance executives who were indicted under court seal within the past 13 months, but never arrested or prosecuted. They remain on the payroll with no indication that they will be prosecuted or even dismissed. The governor of the Virgin Islands along with its attorney general and a number of Virgin Island legislators have accepted bribes yet no one has been arrested or prosecuted. Citing an unnamed source the Caller reports that until the summer of 2011 the two corrupt federal prosecutors were part of a 25 man task force in the DOJ that investigated financial fraud.
Hmm. Eric Holder will be testifying tomorrow before Congressman Darrell Issa's House Oversight Committee on a unrelated matter, Fast and Furious. This revelation should make his day very interesting. Maybe this is another botched investigation where corrupt lawyers are allowed to walk to lead investigators to the top men.
