Tax exempt Media Matters' head stability questioned

Probably the most significant political story this morning is the Daily Caller expose on Media Matters, which is a left wing organization determined to destroy Fox News and hound  popular right wing personalities.
The entire DC story is a bit long but interesting throughout, detailing the erratic and paranoid behavior of David Brock, head of Media Matters, who was so worried about a right wing attack that he demanded one of his two bodyguards carry a gun in the gun controlled city of DC.
DC's sources, which they say are many, are MM employees, current and past, who are concerned about the direction of MM in the light of David Brock's obsession with Fox News.
Most remarkable, probably, is the fact that Media Matters, tax exempt organization funded by George Soros, can present a spin or story which is immediately digested and spit out by the liberal MSM, without question and often verbatim. DC:
“Jim Rainey at the LA Times took a lot of our stuff,” the staffer continued. “So did Joe Garofoli at the San Francisco Chronicle. We’ve pushed stories to Eugene Robinson and E.J. Dionne [at the Washington Post]. Brian Stelter at the New York Times was helpful.”
“Ben Smith [formerly of Politico, now at BuzzFeed.com] will take stories and write what you want him to write,” explained the former employee, whose account was confirmed by other sources. Staffers at Media Matters “knew they could dump stuff to Ben Smith, they knew they could dump it at Plum Line [Greg Sargent’s Washington Post blog], so that’s where they sent it.”
Between this new information and the revelation of the Journolist in which numerous news reporters coordinated attacks on right wing/conservative/Republican figures or even those with whom the liberal MSM disagreed.
Also revealed in the DC story is the fact that Media Matters coordinates at least weekly with the White House. Much of this appears to promote stealthy advances of White House causes in the MSM, using the Soros funded Media Matters as the distributor of liberal talking points, attacks and spin.
In an interview this morning, DC's Tucker Carlson said he believed the reason so many sources at MM were eager to talk outside their echo chamber is that they are concerned about the mental health of David Brock, whose behavior has been erratic, "viciously mean" and deteriorating in the workplace, attacking employees' work and research.
One can only imagine what the Media Matters workplace will be like this morning.
More to come from DC all week.
