Hybrid Auto Sales Tank in California

My blogging partner, who can be rather catty, recently questioned Steven Chu's assessment that the Chevy Volt was wildly popular. Aware of the possibility that our opinions may reflect a provincial, midwestern point of view and the remote likelihood that the Volts's dismal sales are not indicative vast sentimental support, I found confirmation for the snarky skepticism of my partner in sunny California. Not even the people of California are warm to the idea of hybrid electric cars.
