John King should have known better. Newt Gingrich had all day to think of a response to a question he knew would come. He was waiting for that pitch and when he got it the crowd was on its feet. Hell, I stood up and clapped and I was at home. We here at this blog have not been kind to Newt but when we see that he is the only alternative to Romney we are forced to rethink our opinions. Having said that, let me state further that I have not seen another politician display the force that Gingrich possesses. He speaks to the press as if he were lecturing a rambunctious school boy and gets away with it. True, he always has either the facts or popular sentiments on his side but when he speaks ex cathedra he crushes the questioner with brute force. Herman Cain tried to do this without success. He lacked the moral authority in which Gingrich has some how managed to clock himself. I thought it was extraordinary that the archdiocese of Washington saw fit to post a video of one of his debate responses where he accused the Obama administration of bigotry on its web site.
Here in this video Newt wipes up the floor with CNN's John King.
Gosh, he's a hot air balloon but dammit, I'm so sick and tired of the pussy footing around from Romney, et al. Do people not understand why even Donald Trump got a little traction. He's out there in your face, something these country club Republicans and tabby cat media are unwilling to do. We're sick of the politicking. It's great to see somebody body slama liberal. Yeah.
