Clark Durant, A Man To Watch
Most of all the members of the Republican establishment have endorsed former congressman Pete Hoekstra in the Michigan Republican primary to select the candidate to defeat Senator Debbie Stabenow but there is another one of those nontraditional candidates in the field that I find interesting. Clark Durant is a conservative's conservative who once worked at Hillsdale College where he started Imprimis. He served as Chairman of the Legal Services Corporation Board during the Reagan administration. He quit law and in 1991, Clark co-founded the Cornerstone Schools with Adam Cardinal Maida and other civic leaders. Durant has proven he is a serious candidate by raising $1.3 million in just four months. This man is worth watching.
