Ohio Well Producing 3,010 Barrels of Oil Equivalent Per Day

Chesapeake Energy has supplied some data on its Buell 10-11-5 8H well in Harrison County. The lateral leg of the well was drilled to a length of 6418 feet. It reached peak production of 9.5 million cubic feet per day and 1,425 barrels (bbls) per day of natural gas liquids and oil (liquids), or 3,010 barrels of oil equivalent (boe) per day.” If one figures oil at $90 the well produces daily revenues of $270,900. One can easily understand the rush to drill in the Utica Shale formation.
