Republican ahead in Weiner's district

This is pretty incredible news, whether it ultimately happens or not. Never did we expect to see that Turner is ahead of the Democrat. In addition, interestingly, enthusiasm is stronger for the Republican than the Democrat. Washington Times:
A new Republican poll shows the GOP candidate vying for the seat vacated by disgraced New York City Rep. Anthony D. Weiner with a 4 percentage-point lead.
Results of a survey released Tuesday by Magellan Strategies BR, a GOP polling firm, shows Bob Turner with 44.6 percent of the vote, compared with Democrat David Weprin's 40.4 percent.
  Legal Insurrection has a prediction:
Prediction:
If Republican Turner wins, the media will portray it as a fluke in unusual circumstances of a disgraced Democrat, and a message sent by voters to no one other than Anthony Weiner.
If Democrat Weprin wins, it will be proof that Obama and Democrats have regained momentum, and that voters are rejecting the extremism of the right-wing.
The special election is set for September 13, next Tuesday.
