Congress faces personal consequences of health vote: They're losin' it

Months ago before Obamacare passed, Tea Party at Perrysburg warned Congressmen about the consequences of a vote for Obamacare against the will of the people. In their giddy drive for unbridled power, they refused to see what is in their futures. Ben Nelson got a window into the future when people screamed at him when he went home and walked into a restaurant for dinner. This vote had a personal effect on people's lives. It has already proven disruptive and deleterious to health care. By voting this way, giggling with the power of elected office, these Congressmen also changed their own lives forever. And now Obama vows to use the oil spill to help get these hypocrites reelected. UPDATE: Now the left is defending the despicable behavior of this "public servant."

We wrote this way back on March:
Try this. Imagine you're retiring from Congress and you have nothing to do but vote the way your party wants you to. Yield to the pressure. That's cool. Sure. But remember, the retiring congressional critters have to go HOME, to LIVE. And if you vote in an unpopular way on an unpopular bill, you may get the treatment that Ben Nelson and OJ Simpson have gotten: walk into a restaurant and people scream at you until you leave. PLUS if you have to return to private practice, you have THAT to worry about. So how would that influence your vote? For or against?
And this:
Do these Democrats not understand that there is much, much more at stake than their own selfish perks and the coziness of being "in" with the administration? Do they not understand that the people, we the people, will NEVER FORGET what they are about to do? Do they not understand that they will be treated like LEPERS? That people will leave the room shouting when they enter? Do they remember Ben Nelson? Do they remember O.J.Simpson???
Big Government has a direct result of the health care vote. Congressmen refuse to meet with constituents who pay their salaries and the perks of their office, and then even directly assault those very taxpayers with no provocation. On Etheridge:
Expect more of this. A hard, progressive left captured the Democrat majority in Congress and forced them to enact a fantasy grab-bag of legislation that is increasingly unpopular with the American public. We’re on the cusp of a deeper recession, millions of unemployed Americans have no prospect for work, taxes are about to spike higher and we’ve maxed out the national credit card. The Democrats were given a chance to run government and they’ve only succeeded in running it into the ground.
Update: They're going after Breitbart. Of course! It's not the fault of the CONGRESSMAN who tried to strangle the student! Etheridge sort of apologized but at the same time deflected blame back on the students, who remain unidentified.
"Motives matter, and I think you can see who was behind this," said DNC spokesman Brad Woodhouse just now. "This was a Republican party tracking operation. If it wasn't a party tracker or intern, why is the face blurred and why is the source hidden? You know if it had been a right wing blog, they'd identify themselves and they'd be booking this person on TV all day. Republicans know if they admit their involvement in this game of gotcha it will undermine their credibility. One minute this guy is interviewing a member of Congress on camera and the next a video is released with his face blurred out? If that doesn’t tell you this is a Republican Party hatchet job nothing will."
