How do you excuse this?
How do you pretend this did not happen? Like the stampede on AIG executives last fall, SEIU "protesters" swamped the home of a Bank of America executive, with only his teenage son at home. (By now, you've heard this.) Powerline has an excellent report about this situation. Nina Easton, a neighbor of the man whose son was terrorized, is a left of center reporter whose husband worked for the McCain campaign (if memory serves correct.) It is obvious, at this point, that these thugs think that it is their right to intimidate folks who work for any of these companies. That it is their right to stomp on the property of those who oppose their point of view. If you read nothing about this controversy (which you probably won't because the MSM isn't covering it), read these two articles, remembering that the goal of this is to become Greece. We are to become Greece, where 19 year olds complain that their dreams have been stolen because they won't have an ample pension by 53 years of age. We will NOT become Greece. We will NOT become Greece.
Arcane legislation for special interest groups, including the armed forces and those who held hazardous jobs, meant that pensions could be had as early as 45. The daughters of deceased army officers could claim their father's pension for a lifetime if they remained unmarried; a hairdresser working with "dangerous" chemicals could receive pensions by the age of 50; a policeman on the beat could leave his job all expenses paid at the age of 45.
And this:
There are signs that the movement to shame public employees may catch on. The Web site californiapensionreform.com provides a searchable database of all 12,201 public employees in that state earning six-figure pensions.
In case you were wondering, Bruce Malkenhorst, former city administrator from Vernon, Calif., earns a pension of $509,664 a year. Yes, you read that right.
