Caining the opposition

The Bush administration had a few (well, more than a few) public relations gaffes with regard to the war in which they tried to dramatize or alter reality to boost public approval. Jessica Lynch. Pat Tillman.
What brilliant Harvard grad has been orchestrating the release of details about the Seals' assault on bin Laden, I wonder.
Like this. Who figured telling the public that The One and his coterie watched the whole thing go down on video would create a dramatic moment, while posting a picture of the dramatic moment on Flickr to add to the suspense?
And then not. Uh, no we dint.
  See it go down.
  Or anything much else.
Either you DID see it or you DIDN'T see it. Which is it.
**************************
You know, there were a lot of things Bush did that I didn't like, but I don't remember him whining about the previous president.
I don't remember him picturing himself as an underdog.
I don't remember him saying, "I, me mine" all the time.
I don't remember him being unpatriotic.
I don't remember him lying (and don't even bring up the WMD because that was a mutual conclusion drawn by numerous sources)
I don't remember his slurring and ridiculing private citizens.
I don't remember him appearing on MTV or Oprah or scolding the public to buy stuff they couldn't afford (Well, ok, there was that despicable though well intentioned "Go shopping" moment that most women didn't need to be prompted to go shopping.)
These things, to me, seem ignoble. Lacking gravitas. Non presidential.
And why the sudden "affection" for having Bush visit 9/11 as a subordinate to The One? Is the affection rooted in a malicious attempt to make Bush look ungracious? Are you kidding? After all the nasty jabs The One has tossed Bush's way?
**************************
Hey, you know what? It's TOO EARLY to watch debates. Just don't want to see 'em. Having said that, it's no surprise people think that racist Herman Cain won. He's genuine, hard working and a great candidate. Everybody has flaws, regardless of the godlike image the MSM projects of certain very flawed individuals. And this is NOT a fascination with skin color, but sincerity and conservatism.
*************************
More hypocrisy on the left (not that we don't have our share but this reeks, having emanated from Olbermann). Olbermann is shocked! shocked! that someone wrote "Obama" instead of "Osama" on a Fox affiliate's news crawl!!!!! In addition, he thinks it's a big conspiracy that Fox NEWS Channel, which differs from the illiterates who write headlines on the local affiliates channels, "switched" to calling him "Usama" rather than "Osama." Except .they .haven't called .him ."Osama" .for. years.
  *******************************
  Yeah, that's right.
It's a life of sacrifice to work for the government. So some dopey school invites you to talk to students almost graduates and what do you tell them? Work for the government. It's a sacrifice, but do it. It's very rewarding. Especially when the government forgives your school loans and back taxes and you make twice as much as your neighbor.
Plus there's the added benefit of knowing that absolutely nothing you do has any value and therefore everything you do doesn't matter so you won't have to work hard.
AND if you get your jollies from lording it over the commoners, you can find a way to issue regulations that'll make their lives unhappy.
But that's just a side benefit. It hasn't been written into any union agreement.
  Yet.
********************************
So why DID the democrats want to show EVERY Abu Ghraib photo but not THIS one? Just askin.'
****************************
Does ANYONE really think Obama would have gone after Osama on his own? Even those t-shirt sellers who have him pictured as a SOLDIER doing the dastardly deed?
And what the heck do all the peaceniks think about the haloed one, the Light Bringer, the Nobel Peace Prize winner being depicted as a virtual assassin? Ha.
*******************************
And why would anyone be surprised that "I, me, mine," the Lyin' King, the Lightbringer would hog the spotlight at a memorial?
****************************
And, hey. Aren't we all feeling great that we don't interrogate anyone anymore as the methods and purposes were discontinued Obama's second day in office.
And how comfortable are we knowing that Osama's wives are being interrogated with questionnaires?
Oh, THAT"ll get 'em to spill the beans.
What. We're going to play good questionnaire, bad questionnaire?
This is being done by the Pakistanis, who apparently didn't know the wives and Osama, the most wanted man in the world, were living in Pakistan for five years.
But rest assured. Those written questionnaires are tough.
  How do we know this?
They're changing the questions every three or four days.
  Whew.

  1. Mistakes happen. I think Mr.Olbermann would remember this error when he was at MSNBC.
