Desiree: I don't have anything to do with them anymore

FLOTUS Michelle Obama has been highly touted as a very fashionable first lady, unlike many of the other FLOTUSes. Now comes word that we can't figure out if she's pumping the designers for free stuff, like the $18000 earrings or those horrible 600$ shoes. Oh, well, here's the scoop from Daily Caller. And what's up with the bitterness of Desiree Rogers, that one time fashion pacesetter?

“The items [Michelle] Obama has either borrowed or received free have included a $17,313 pair of Loree Rodkin diamond earrings, and clothes and gowns worth $1,000 to $6,000,” he said. “In some cases, Michelle Obama’s representatives have said she will donate the items to the Smithsonian.” 

Rogers, the former White House Social Secretary, was well known for her attendance at fashion shows and her cutting-edge personal style when she worked with the first lady. Rogers, however, refused to engage in any conversation about Mrs. Obama or her clothing. 

FYI, I'd be glad to donate items/junk to the Smithsonian if people would give me free stuff. I'd especially like technology stuff, if you wouldn't mind. An iPad'd be nice.
