A new Florida
poll shows what may be the beginning of the inevitable shake out of the Republican presidential field. Trump holds the lead but 5 candidates are in double digits and within 10 points of him. Outside of the top 5 Ted Cruz is the only candidate to get more than 2%. As the Public Policy Institute of Jacksonville University is somewhat of an unknown in presidential polling one might want to exercise some critical skepticism but the poll offers an insight into who will make the final cut as the field is trimmed from 15 to 5 or 6. Trump's momentum seems to have stalled while Fiorina and Rubio are rising.

A warning for Trump! When asked if there was one candidate for whom they would not vote 30.1% answered Donald Trump. Another 13.3% answered Jeb Bush and 11.5% answered Rand Paul.
I've always thought it was too bad that Rick Perry and Bobby Jindal haven't gotten more traction. At the beginning, I thought Scott Walker would take it all. Surprise. Surprise. I'm thinking this poll looks pretty accurate.
ReplyDeleteI think Scott Walker was the victim of bad advice. He had monthly expenses of over $1 million. When he dipped in the polls and donations slowed up it was all over.
